I understand, Alison, but there were a few times when I thought Jess was a bit insufferable. I thought of that scene where Jack scolded Kevin after how he behaved in front of that college recruiter, and I could only imagine how Jack Pearson would deal with Jess Mariano.

For me though, if Jess had had a parent like Jack - he wouldn't have behaved the way he did. Luke was really the only real parental figure he had and he didn't really spend time with him until he was 17.

Yep, that's a good point.

If Jess did have a father like Jack he probably would've turned out differently.

Scott speaks nicely towards the end of the panel about why Jess was the way he was. I love how they really understand each other's characters.
