This is from AICN, about this episode:

Quote:
Coincidentally, I’ve just seen “Cold Snap,” the first Fuller-scripted episode of “Heroes” since “Company Man.” The hilarious, harrowing and propulsive “Snap,” which airs on NBC Monday, is easily the best episode of the series since “Company Man,” and another major episode for Grunberg’s character, Matt Parkman.
Wonderful news! I'm so glad Bryan is back.

It was a good episode in spite of the lack of Milo. Everything worked and the scene where Peter saves Angela was all kinds of hot. Thanks for sharing that out-take photo, Kelly.

It so was, and it nice that he saved her after she said she thought she'd never get Peter back.

I actually cared about the characters last night, Hiro's scenes were funny with the stuff animals and pushing Ando around. Matt and Daphne's scenes were great too.

Here are the ratings for last night:
Quote:
After "House," third-place Fox aired "24" (10.3 million, 3.4/8), down 8%. NBC's "Chuck" (2.1/6) tied its last original, while "Heroes" (6.5 million, 2.9/7) sank to a series low. The "Heroes" slip comes despite glowing online buzz about the episode, which was penned by returning writer Bryan Fuller.
Heroes has lost a lot of faith and trust from the fans that have left so getting them back won't happen overnight. Hopefully word of mouth from both fans watching and from the media will eventually win them back to see for themself. It might even take next season for the ratings to go up again, but after last nights episode it is definately a good sign the old Heroes is back.

Bryan Fuller was the best hero last night. That was the best episode since season one and it's clear he was sadly missed. He knows how to bring the best out in characters and the heart in the show was back. It was as if Heroes finally felt alive and special again. Every expectation I had for this episode (with Bryan's return) was met and its so nice to see the reaction around the internet praising the show again. Can Bryan please write every episode?!

It was tightly paced and the blending of characterization and plot was nicely done. I loved the little moments of humor, like Hiro and Ando recreating the scene from E.T. in the mound of stuffed animals. I like that Hiro only has partial power returned- no more time travel. I've gotten tired of the "yatta", but it was cute seeing Hiro trying to make Matt's baby say it. I loved the guest appearance of Swoozie Kurtz and her interaction with Angela. It would be a shame not to have her back again, especially with such few great female leads on this show now. It was nice to see Micah back, and it threw me to hear his voice so deep now. I also loved the directing of the episode. Daphne's death was touching and beautifully done. A very exciting and memorable episode.

How many wanted to cheer when Milo threw in his trademark smirk at the guards just before he flew Angela to safety?

Not only did I want to, but I did a Yay Milo! I was waiting for his appearance since his name was in the credits.

IA with your whole post, Kelly. BF has really made an impression on this latest volume. I hope that the internet viewing brings some fans back next week after all the praises that I've been reading. This episode had everything, thrills, pathos, humor, suspense. The only thing missing IMO was no Nathan and so very little of Peter.

I hope so too. I wonder if the internet viewing for this episode went up more than viewings for past episodes.
