Heroes Season 4 Premiere Orientation and Jump, Fall, Push

Episode Description: Claire struggles with adjusting to her new life in college when a mysterious death thrusts her into the spotlight once again. Elsewhere, Hiro and Ando continue their noble quest to help people by promoting their abilities. Angela fears Nathan will soon discover his true identity; while Matt is haunted by an unexpected visitor seeking something he has lost. Tracy Strauss and H.R.G. join forces, looking for the key to unlock the motive behind a horrific crime. Meanwhile, Peter uses his abilities for good, but he is soon called upon to aid an old friend. While the heroes adjust to their new surroundings, a mysterious carnival clan, led by ringleader Samuel (Robert Knepper), sets their sights on familiar faces. I liked it. it worked for me.

Peter's story line was the best IMO. His scenes with HRG were very revealing and Jack's and Milo's acting was top-notch. I completely understand Peter's reluctance to stay in touch with his mother and brother. He has embraced his powers and feels he is doing something good with them. His telling Noah that only bad can come from him being involved with the "Company" again was justified. Peter was heroic, smart, funny and very gorgeous.

I wrote my feelings about the other characters and story lines on the FF Heroes board episode thread.

Yeah I have a feeling that Peter will have the most interesting storyline, I liked when he told Noah that in the past six weeks he saved 53 people and in the hour he was working with Noah one person almost died.

I like that he's trying to use his powers for good, also nice that they have Peter a bit more carefree, and not serious all the time.

Yah I liked seeing Peter be all heroic, caulme and smiley. I to can understand him being away from his family and friends, every time hes with them he has to wittness a death, poor Peter. But yah Milos acting was great and I really loved his team up with Noah, I'd love it if Noah/Tracey/Peter formed there own team, that'd be wicked. Next weeks looks awesome ^^

I enjoyed it!

1. My favorite part was the Carnival storyline. Period. Loved the beginning, where the Carnival crew was mourning the death of a beloved one. I really like where that storyline is going! Very intriguing plot!! I definitely want to know more about the compass!! The carnival characters (such as Edgar and Samuel, etc.), I feel, add a new dimension to this season's plot.

I wonder what other effects will arise from the moment where Samuel forced Hiro to change something about the past.

2. Peter joining forces with Noah was interesting! I hope they work together for a while. This brings new dynamics, which is really nice for a change! I wonder what the compass has in store for Peter? I'm seriously looking forward to that storyline!

I must also say, it was really nice to see Milo Ventimiglia and Jack Coleman work together. Milo is a brilliant actor!!

3. It was nice to see a softer side in Tracy, when she was giving Noah a bit of company. It's also a good change to watch Tracy work alongside Noah. I hope that happens more often.

I have to agree with you guys that it seems Peter will be having the best storyline. He is the only one that can use the compass. I wonder where this will lead.

I like how they'd developed Peter's character, but at the same time, I second HRG's worries about his isolation. He doesn't seem himself, in a way, although he's saving lives and being a hero... If he's not connected to people, then he's not connecting to his empathy as much, and that was always the integral thing, his empathy.

But however, I do love his transition from the dreamer we saw in S1 to someone who still has that want to do good, but is less niave in S4.

So I like the way his plot seems to be going, overall. And he was gorgeous, as per usual

I definitely liked this episode, and I loved it Peter-wise. I thought Peter was cool, calm, and funny. Even though Peter doesn't know about Nylar, I bet he still has the vibe that his family is being crazy and he should distance himself from them. But I agree, Ellie, he shouldn't distance himself from everyone. It's okay to have friends.

But then again, he does memorize the names of those he saves, keeping some sort of connection to them.

I really really love Peter/Noah and Milo/Jack. I hope to see a lot more of them in the future.

On a Milo note, he was looking great! And his voice was so soft and smooth. I was fangirling every time he came on screen.

And random, but when Noah went to Peter's apartment and said "Love what you've done with the place" but it was empty, did anyone else get flashbacks to Gilmore Girls season 4 when Luke says something similar to Jess about his apartment?

Exactly!!! He has the same ability as his father. But difference is he hasn't mastered it yet.

I wonder if the compass only works with empaths? (This theory was suggested at another board.) Sylar has acquiered the empathy ability from Arthur... so if the theory is accurate he would be able to use the compass, too.

So many questions!!

Okay first thing, I thought that Milo looked sooooooooooooo GOOD! I love the tight t-shirts he was wearing in his apartment! YUM! But reguardless of this I thought that they were very interesting episodes. But, personally, as much as I love Zachary Quinto, I think that Sylars time is drawing to a close.

Welcome Coco_Cat! I agree. I like Zach as well, and I'm glad that Sylar is doing a haunting thing right now. I feel like Sylar can get repetitive, so I like the change of pace.

I love the fangirling!

It's good to see new episodes of Milo on tv again, and he looks great!

I was thinking the compass only worked on Heroes, but I never thought about taking it deeper. Now that you mention it, it could only work on empaths with the personality traits to risk everything to save people.
