Heroes Episode Discussion Thread Shadowboxing

Claire is determined to get to the bottom of the Sorority Rush attacks on her own, until H.R.G. intervenes only to realize he may be the source of her troubles. Meanwhile, Peter's new ability is a perfect fit for his job and gives him the opportunity to help Emma (guest star DeanneBray) accept her new life. Elsewhere, Sylar's battle at gaining full control over Matt's (Greg Grunberg) body escalates --with potentially dangerous implications at stake. Robert Knepper and Adrian Pasdar also star. Kat Purgal, Carlease Burke, Danica Stewart, Candice Patton, Sally Champlin and Assaf Cohen also guest star

Yah, welcome back Peter. I missed yah so much. For the first time ever, Claires and Mattlers plot sounds cool too.

Bringing my critique over from the Heroes board:

This was definitely a filler episode but still, it was pretty good. Not too much I can complain about.

What I liked
- Oh Samuel definitely has Claire hooked now. He knew just what to say. Plus, Noah/Claire FTW! Bennetts rock.
- Peter! I missed you!

Nice to see him saving people with his new ability. I’m glad Nathan came and is distracting him because I don’t want him to go overboard. And how sweet was he to Emma? Gosh, he’s such a nice guy

- I like Becky. It might just be the Veronica Mars fan in me, but I think she’s cool.
- I LOVED Gretchen leaving, even though I’m sure she’ll be back. Honestly I would have been surprised/concerned if she actually felt safe in that room with Claire gone and an invisible girl on the loose.
- I also loved Claire referring to the Haitian by his real name. And him actually having lines! Score!

What I didn’t like
- Eh, wasn’t feeling the Mattler storyline. I’m getting a little tired of it. Zach and Greg are good, it’s just I’m over it. Let’s get everyone back in their bodies please. Kthanks.
- My only thing with Becky is that she’s acting on revenge for Noah. Haven’t we been here before with West? I understand what Noah used to do was bad, but I feel like she could have had another reason for being so vindictive.

I loved every thing, to me my favorite parts were Peter/Emma and Mattler scenes but even the Claire bits weren't boring and that says some thing, cuz normally her plots bore me to tears LOL. I loved how Sylar remembered what Peter to him and wanted to visit him HA. Now hey'll get to see Peter next week, than the battle will start muhaha.

Not my favorite episode of the season, but not bad. I just want more Peter and cannot wait until next week. How anyone can see redemption for Sylar is a mystery to me. He killed an innocent man, again! He threatened other lives. Just kill him already. I loved that Matt was willing to sacrifice his life to end Sylar.

I'm not sure how I feel about the Claire/HRG situation. Still not sure what Samuel is up to, but I like the mystery. Loved that, finally, Nathan emerged and then flew away.

The blue that I saw in Peter's hands in last week's promo was only his latex gloves. LOL. So happy that he and Emma are helping each other.

Okay....episode was alright, really enjoyed the Peter and Emma scenes, they work well together and it's nice to see two people who distanced themselves from one finally find someone who understands them. Loved how Emma asked if Peter could still see colors and he said no but we can still play. I hope we get more scenes between the two.

If the ending of Matt being shot (and killed) sticks, this would be an amazing episode of Heroes. But with the preview spoiling it, the episode was okay.

Grudgingly, my favorite line was "Italian Eagle Scout"

Loved Peter and Emma's scenes. Peter placing the tiara on Emma's head was adorable.

Kind of random and completely shallow, this is my favorite screenshot.

Not too shallow! I am so amazed that Milo (and Peter) have matured so much since the beginning of the series. Milo was already a grown adult, but now he looks it.

A must-read review for any Peter and Milo fans.

Straightforward dialogue, and although what we see is a clear indication that the ability is draining the life out of him, it’s a remarkable moment for the way Milo delivers the dialogue; no self-pity, no resentment, just the observation that his ability is killing him. The biblical undertones emerge from the self-sacrifice, both in the way Peter risks himself to save others and in the way he does it without considering the repercussions.
