Heroes 4.03 Ink Episode Discussion

Peter faces unexpected consequences for his heroic acts and encounters a reluctant new hero. As Claire continues to adjust to college life, she must figure out how to deal with her ability having been revealed. Meanwhile, Samuel moves heaven and earth to recapture the memories of his late brother Joseph. Elsewhere, Matt struggles with his internal demons as Sylar mysteriously resurfaces.

Overall wonderful episode! I can't wait to find out more about Emma's ability. Breathtaking cello scene! Imagine a scene with no words, but so beautifully done! What a great impression this caused!!! [From reading other threads & boards, a lot seem quite happy about Emma. ]

I really like Emma so far! Peter's & Emma's interaction was amazing to watch and I wonder if Peter will follow Samuel's lead. Samuel is a very intriguing character!

I'm still smiling about today's episode and all the Emma/Peter scenes.

Hahaha... yeah Gretchen as well as Claire do have a special bond indeed, lol. His father overprotecting her as usual... and most likely knows something about Gretchen that we don't, yet.

Sylar tricking Matt with the whole "baby in the closet" was ace! Didn't see it coming at all!

I too loved the episode. I am very intrigued with Emma's ability. I've read (on other boards) that what good is her power, but I am perfectly happy to watch someone with an ability that isn't "super-heroish." Actually her ability is not unheard of and according to the doctor (the wonderful Louise Fletcher) something to appreciate.

Milo was great and I really loved his scenes with Robert Knepper. I only hope that they don't dumb-down Peter in order for him to be manipulated by Samuel. I've thought Samuel's manipulations were above suspicion so far, let's hope it stays that way. So far, I'm buying it, but I'm also very interested in why he has chosen Peter to be his new "Joseph."

Even with ZQ's snark and GG's great acting, I am not at all interested in Sylar's manipulation of Matt. Go away Sylar!

Claire's story line is somewhat interesting, but I am more convinced that Gretchen is part of the carnival and sent to bring Claire to Samuel.

This episode was great!

I think for the first time Heroes added new characters that are interesting. Emma's power seems different from all the others and not so clear as to what it is.

Thought Peter's storyline last night was nice, I liked his scenes with Emma, and with Samuel too. It was nice only having three story lines gave Peter more screen time and I think it flowed more better.

I liked the episode also, my favorite scenes by far had to Peters and Mattlers. It seems like there doing a good job with Peters storyline, a lot of people are liking his the best this year. His interactions with Samuel and Emma were brilliantly done. I loved Milos smile when he looked at Emma after she finished playing the violen, he has such a pretty smile. I agree, I think I'd be confused by Samuels actions too. I mean Peter as far as he knows doesn't have a power yet, so how would he think the guy would be able to just magically put an image of himself in one of his pictures? I liked the way Peter was suspesious of Emma, the way he looked down and found out about Emma not really litsening to music was great. Over all, yah good episode. I really like the way there developing Peter this year, the ending was great too.

So I'm basically copy and pasting my thoughts from the Heroes board, but here I think I'll start with Peter. And sorry in advance for the long post.

Peter was great, as always. Nice to see his sensitive side coming out. I think he knows deep down that Samuel wasn't there though. He was so obsessive, I feel like he's looked at that picture several times and got a good sense of it.

I'm very curious about Emma. I also don't see her in a relationship with Peter, but I could see them connecting on a certain level. And yeah, her power is the most common of all the ones on the show, making it very realistic.

I was laughing out loud during the Matt/Sylar scenes! (Until the end, of course) I really liked the two of them together. I hope to see more of them next week!

Am I the only one who isn't feeling the carnival characters? They have a secret, they'll reunite the heroes, then end up dead by the end of season. I don't know, I guess I was expecting more. We'll see.

I'm really suspicious of Gretchen. She needs a life and other things to care about. She's too pushy with Claire, even from the moment they met. If she was sent by someone, it'd explain the roommate's death and how she recognized Noah before she met him. It was a guy in a suit in a dorm room. It could've been anyone - one of the police officers, a teacher, a tutor, an inspector. This chick is crazy and I was hoping Claire wouldn't trust her. I know how desperate Claire is to feel a connection to someone, but seriously? She needs to go to Peter. He understands her and definitely doesn't have ulterior motives like I think Gretchen does.

What I got from the scene is that Peter is worried that he is maybe not as on top of his game as he thought or that maybe he is overworking himself like his partner pointer out. I think that scene was maybe him thinking that he's not okay if he missed that.

I definitely think someone sent her, so yeah, it could have been Samuel. She seems to curious and to know too much about Claire before meeting her. Very suspicious. Samuel seems to be on a mission, and maybe he recruited her, or she's one of them.

It'd be nice if he slowly starts figuring things out like that. Notice some thing strange about Samuel, than try to find some clues on him. That'd be awesome if they hanndled it that way.

Yeah, and hopefully they'll do that with Samuel and Nylar. From next week's promo it looks like he's gonna talk to Nathan next week... Intriguing...
