That's what I'm deliberating. As much as I want to see it. If I do watch it, I'll want more. But if I don't watch it. I have the finale and that's that...but if I don't watch it...I'll always wonder youknow...dilemna's...lol

That's great news about the epilogue airing this summer, I can't wait for it. Although I have to agree that after seeing the epilogue I'm going to want more and it's going to suck that there will be no more episodes.

But at least we're getting that.

I just hope it's not a teaser and it closes things off rather than leaving them open you know!

I just read this on E! Online Watch Kristen. I know she isnt a reliable source but still...

"Will Estes of American Dreams was asked about Jeff Zucker's statement that they WILL show the alternate finale for AD that will tie up all the loose ends. He looked shocked, said "Really? I didn't know that." Then said he didn't think Will would be involved ... Uh .... WHA? (Zucker couldn't be fibbing, could he?)"

Who won't be involved? Huh! They already filmed the alternate ending and the spoilers have JJ in it. Unless they mean Will, the younger brother. But I'm confused by what she posted.

Did Will talk in the third person about himself? The phrasing of this sounds really very strange.

So I've been trying to find the AD thread on the TV board, but I guess no one started one up after the board closed - either that or I missed it.

Anyway, I read about the changed finale that is supposed to be aired in my local paper and found these articles about it:

http://www.sptimes.com/2005/07/30/Ar..._forI_Am.shtml

This one contains a small spoiler for Alias, so I'll quote the AD part:

Finally, there is a good chance NBC is going to repeat what turned out to be the series finale of "American Dreams'' -- with a different final 12 minutes. Turns out the family drama shot two endings for the episode: a cliffhanger in case it returned and scenes that tied up the storylines if it didn't. NBC opted to air the cliffhanger -- and then canceled the show.

But Jeff Zucker, the head of NBC Universal TV, says the network ""owes it to the fans'' to wrap things up. The redone finale would be on the schedule before Labor Day if plans go ahead.

I'm not sure what I'd want to see from each character, but closure is the big thing you know...No opening's for things to change..if that makes sense. I'd still want Meg with Chris. And JJ to succeed further as an astronaut etc... But things with Jack and Helen I think were the more open topic, him finding out she was helping young men into Canada etc...to avoid the draft. And I think Pete and Chris's Mom, Shelly should have either ended things or made a commitment to one another...
