The one thing I would agree didn't make sense is him still being into Rory - that's more the writer's inability to see that every guy being and staying in love forever with her was ridiculous and Rory was a complete mess.
a lot of people definitely disregard his childhood/upbringing

as for guys not getting over Rory I think Rory became a bit of a Mary Sue but she's always been a bit of a Manic Pixie Dream Girl

Thank you for reading, yes to maybe a casual fan some stuff didn’t make sense but if you watched the show some of it made sense. Also I would have loved to get a bit more back story on him, if he said things about Liz, how she was. Maybe if we got the spin off they would have brought up more of his past.

Yeah when you think about it, I don’t get why he was hung up on Rory. I would have wanted them together but I always wanted Rory to have to work to make Jess to get him to fall for her again.

I did, Alison. Jess was controversial? I'm shocked!

I feel like he’s divisive among the fandom

like you either love him or hate him

there’s no in-between

Amy wanted to make them like Luke and Lorelai part 2. BUT kids should learn from their parents, right? Not making the same mistakes. What Rory did was so degrading of her character. I mean, I felt so alienated to her. As for Jess... I think he needed way more screen time.

Thanks for those, Alison! Man, I wish Milo had gotten famous back in the 90s. He was made for that decade.

I guess, but Gilmore Girls was like a 90s show in the 2000s. It had a similar writing style to what I got used to in the 90s in shows like Ally McBeal and Party of Five.

I’m talking more about him than like the show itself

just feel Milo more as an early 2000s teen idol than like early-late 90s even though I know there’s not a huge difference between say 1999 and 2002

the show to me is timeless but doesn’t feel as dated to me as Dawson’s Creek which came out 2 years before

I see what you mean, Alison. I think Milo did have a few small roles in shows in the 1990s, like The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Sabrina, The Teenage Witch.
