I've heard great review from real Depp fans, not the damn critics whose job it is to slam almost everything.

Can't wait to see this!

I've heard there are even jokes and mentions of Jack Sparrow in the film, not by name but references. That sounds awesome!

Updating the OP ATM!

Thanks for the thread!

I LOVED this movie Could not stop laughing at the jokes in it. It has so many funny moments and the critics were so so wrong. Johnny was a perfect Tonto too and I love him and Armie as their characters

I don't think his ethnicity should be a part of it at all anyway. Korean people play Chinese often and similar and it's a non issue. If he wasn't the best for the role then fine, but best doesn't mean most ethically similar it means best ACTOR. Do people really expect only Jews to play Jewish people, and Christians play Christians. It would be bizarre if it had to keep to that. Yes, I realise Native American history is rather temperamental and protected, much beyond my knowledge, but from what I have seen the whole complaints about it are ridiculous.

I don't know when/if I'll see the movie, but I am sure it is great!

I agree effie.

My comment about his cherokee heritage was more so targeted at critics who made that distinction first about how a real native should have been in the role, and that was racist to me too. Or prejudice at least.

But your comment is so true!

They're complaining because of the Native American ethnicity?! Really?

I wish people could just give him a break sometimes.

Yeah it was pretty harsh. I mean who's judging the critics? No one. We just disagree with their critiques...

I agree too and that there was people who are Native Americans in the movie, doesn't seem like they had a problem with it.

The critics don't get judged so I don't get why their say matters more than the fans.

Johnny was even made an honorary member of the Comanche Tribe.

Here's the link to the article about it:

I didn't mean to imply you meant anything else, your post just reminded me of an article I read a while ago and then I got on one
