I've seen Cry Baby dubbed so it would be nice to see it with his real voice.

I'll go to Blockbuster and see which ones they have available.

Cry baby is a little tainted for me because it basically created Amy Winehouse. Ugh. She totally looks like the grandma in it

Cry baby is hilarious. and it goes without saying that Johnny was gorrrrgeous in it. Nope, still can't get over it how pretty his face is.

ok, so i broke out IMDB so i could make a complete list of the ones i have seen for you, ari. and you are welcome, btw... (even though you totally dissed Bart. :frown: have you seen him in Sex and the City?)

Pirates of the Caribbean (1&2... oddly, I haven't watched all of 3 yet.. that's weird)
Corpse Bride
Charlie & The Chocolate Factory
Finding Neverland
From Hell
Sleepy Hollow
The Astronaut's Wife
The Ninth Gate
What's Eating Gilbert Grape?
Edward Scissorhands
21 Jump Street
Cry Baby
A Nightmare on Elm Street

I vagueley recall seeing parts of Benny & Joon, Donnie Brasco, Don Juan DeMarco, Blow, Secret Window....

so there. that's my complete list, just for you ari.

now i must go bring something to my father (or should i say: sperm donor) at his house. (can you tell i'm not very happy with him? haven't been for over a year).

anyway, i'll check out the Movie Club later. promise!

Okay so admittedly I'm not a die hard Johnny Depp fan, although I do admire his talent
I'm just popping in to help out

I was just looking at S's compilation of JD movies and come to think of it, I haven't seen that many of his movies
I've seen:
Pirates of the Carribbean 1, 2 & 3 (I actually didn't become captivated until the second movie - so many scenes just had me laughing so hard! )
Corpse Bride (Emily annoyed me greatly)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (which I surprisingly enjoyed! you have to give the man credit, he was creepy! well, I thought he was)
apart from that...
I think that's it
I heard Sweeney Todd was really good
but it's not really in my area of expertise so to speak
(I don't do gory movies lol)
=)

hey fefe. and, i've heard Sweeney Todd is good too. just haven't seen it yet... i haven't watched a lot of movies since i've become obsessed with Gossip Girl.

i think my favorite Johnny Depp movie is definitely Cry Baby though... i haven't seen it in forever, but i'm going to have to rectify that immediately!

Cry Baby...
haven't seen or heard of it
I would watch Sweeney Todd if I thought I had the stomach/mind to handle it
because I like musicals =)
(even though they are pretty cringe worthy the first 4 or 5 times you watch them =P)

not many movies since Gossip Girl hey
well, before Gossip Girl, it was One Tree Hill for me
so either way, not that many movies
and right now?
none! right now it's books

if you can get to a library, totally check out Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey once you're finished with the Twilight series, of course.

and Cry Baby... well, it has singing and dancing too... but it's much more... tough? i guess that would be the word for it. and believe me, you'd love this on first viewing!

Okay S, I shall take your Jacqueline Carey challenge when I next find myself amidst a library or books or whatnot

lol what's with the eyeroll

I'm on the last book now so I should be done by tomorrow
they only take me a day or so

hrmm I dont think I've ever loved a musical on first viewing
(despite the fact that I love them)
I guess I just need to learn the songs and stuff and once I'm cheesily singing along, all cringeworthy thoughts vanish!
=P
I'll keep Cry Baby in mind for the next time I do a movie marathon
