I love the first POTC.

I would love to read the book that this movie is based on too.

Did you re-watch the movie in order to share your comments and opinions or are you posting your comments and opinions from what you remember of the movie?

I didn't re-watch it for the topic, but I have seen it in the last couple of weeks, and all of this is based on what I remember.

What was the best scene in the movie and why?

There are so many great scenes, but there are two that always stick out in my mind. 1. When Ichabod is hacking into the dead tree where the horseman resides and the blood keeps squirting him. Johnny's acting there is superb and makes it that much funnier.

2. The scene where they are in the church and the horseman has taken Katrina's father and she has fainted and is pointing and they follow her pointing.

What did you think of the cast?

I personally loved the cast. I wouldn't change a thing. I love watching Johnny and Christina Ricci together. Plus any movie where there is Johnny Depp AND Christopher Walken is going to be a great movie in my opinion.

Did you like the way the movie was filmed?

One of the reasons I love Tim Burton so much is the way he films his movies. The coloring on this movie was so astounding. It had the perfect gray/mist that puts you in the mood for the type of film it is. The scenes where Ichabod is remember his mother are beautiful and vivid and such a great contrast to the world (as I think Ichabod sees it). Then at the end where they come back to New York and although it is snowy it is bright and happy. to Tim Burton because the colors were just amazing. And I have to say it made the color of the blood even more jarring. Just it!

What one thing would you change about the movie and why?

There really isn't anything I would change. However, if I could have an extended scene I would love to see more of the romance between Ichabod and Katrina. Just because I'm a romantic, but I loved how it all played out on screen so no complaints.

Anything else to add:

Not really. I just really love this movie. One of my favorites of all time. Great Halloweeen and winter movie in general. When I want to get into the winter mood this is the movie I go to. Such a good movie. And Johnny's subtle acting in this movie was absolutely amazing!

I did re-watch it, especially since Halloween is right around the corner, it helps put me in the mood.

What was the best scene in the movie and why?
There are a lot of great scenes, but my favorite is the one where Ichabod wakes up from one of his dreams and Katrina is there to hold him. He tells her about his mother and what his father did to her and it's such a quiet, emotional scene. It's such a sweet and genuine moment between the two of them.

What did you think of the cast?
I loved the whole cast, every character was unique and all the actors and actresses did a brilliant job, especially Christopher Walken who was at his scary best.

Did you like the way the movie was filmed?
I totally agree with InitialSwitch here, Tim Burton never fails to shoot his films in the most wonderful ways. The colors, the mist, the tress, the houses all created the perfect atmosphere for this movie. It's my favorite of Tim's movies. And even Danny Elfman's score was spot on and it didn't overpower and annoy me, as it sometimes does.

What one thing would you change about the movie and why?
The one little thing I noticed and found odd was that when they all left Sleepy Hollow, at the end, to go to NY, it looked like it could have been fall, it was bright and sunny and the leaves were vivid colors on the tress. But when they got to NY, it was snowing, with some snow on the ground. Sleepy Hollow is supposed to "upstate" which would normally get the snow and cold sooner than the city. It's a little thing, but the transition just felt a little jarring.

Anything else to add:
Nope, it was a great flick and a great time of year to enjoy it.

^ I understand about your seasons change. I always assumed (probably wrongly) they had to go somewhere and get married (cause no girl could be living with a man and not be married at the time and still be respectable). And then the honeymoon, sorta. That was always my take anyway.

I'll take the line from Romancing the Stone and sum myself up as the "hopeful romantic". Cause as I posted I wanted to see just a smidge more of them together there at the end.

Yes, plus it's been on TV numerous times this month and is replaying again on APTN tonight and tomorrow.

What was the best scene in the movie and why?

For me, the best scene is when they go into the woods to find the tree of the dead and Ichabod discovers that Katrina has followed.

I think this is an important scene because it shows Katrina's dedication to Ichabod.

What did you think of the cast?

I loved the whole cast, each actor fit their roles perfectly.

Did you like the way the movie was filmed?

I have to agree with you Kelli and Harley about Burton's signature in how he makes the scenes that off greyish tone. But I also loved that the colour of the blood was so vibrant.

What one thing would you change about the movie and why?

I don't think I would change anything, other, than like you mentioned Kelli, extending some scenes to show more of the 'romance' between Ichabod and Katrina.

Anything else to add:

We've talked of it on this thread already, but a sequel would be kind of cool.

I think it should be repeated that a sequel would be nice. You know in the finite possibility that someone of importance cares.
