| When I think of classic horror films, this one definitely tops the list. I saw it again recently and remembered why. It' so real and gritty and visceral, like so many We Craven films. For me, it's as scary now as it was the first time I saw it. And I just love Johnny in this film, he's so fresh faced and sweet, you just wanna hug him and pinch his cheeks. I just wish he'd had more screen time, but he made the most of what he had. Nobody ever got sucked into a bed better. ![]() And the commentary on the disc is really cool too. Wes talks about his inspiration for the film, which was really interesting. He's smart, well spoken and a fun to listen to. So was Heather, who shared great memories, including an awkward screen kiss with Johnny. ![]() | |||

| I like the Halloween series too, though I haven't seen the most recent Rob Zombie remake. The basis for Elm Street was inspired by several newspaper articles printed in the LA Times, that Wes had read, on a group of Cambodian refugees and their children, who, after fleeing to America from Pol Pot's regime, were suffering horrific nightmares, after which they refused to sleep. Acting on medical advice, their parents encouraged them to do so. However, each of the children died in their sleep, following the second dream. One of them even kept a coffee pot in their room, just like Nancy did. Kinda scary. | |||

| Oh this is a great horror film! Who would have thought, seeing him in this film, that he's be a big star now? I plan on watching this movie again, maybe for Halloween. I have it on VHS though. I should get my VCR out of my closet and dust it off. ![]() __________________ "...be brave and want me back." Naomi ♥ Emily Jas| icon: quietlyobsessed | |||

| Yeah, it would nice. All they seem to be showing are the crappy slasher fics! Aww, well, luckily I still have my old boxy TV. His character's death scene was (from what I remember) really awful Loads of blood everywhere. Must re-watch.__________________ "...be brave and want me back." | I love this film! I've seen it loads of times, and I've just bought the DVD, to watch again very soon, hopefully! Although Johnny isn't in it much, I just love his character. He's so adorable! ![]() __________________ "Life can be for living. Just try and never give in. Tell everyone the way of Future World" ('Future World' by Helloween) Julie icon by me | |||
