I just watched this movie today. The most surprising thing in this movie, for me, was his voice! It's so different from his other roles and yet so appropriate for the time the film was set in.

he did have somthing stuck to the roof of his mouth, the fake empty gap where he takes out his teeth, by the way johnny loved the look of himself with out front teeth, he used to take it out with him and wear it in clubs!

He's such an amazing actor. I just watched this the other day, I love watching him transform himself into each character he plays. He was so funny and perfect as Ed Wood, and he showed that Wood really was a good person, just a misunderstood one, and out of the ordinary. I actually think that he put a lot of his Ed character into his Willy Wonka portrayal. A lot of the voice and mannerisms are the same.

yeah, I always think that too! Especially the way he smiles, and the rythm he talks with. I love it!

^^^ I agree. Ed Wood has to one of my favorite characters he has played. There is just something he brings to the screen and the way he was able to make you believe that ed was always looking forward to a new project even if his last one had failed.

I watched this movie a while ago and I just didn't get it...But then I watched it again and it was way better the second time. I saw Ed Wood as very considerate and kind-hearted. He just wanted to make movies whether they turned out to be good or not. It was his passion. I still don't get everything in it, but that's me

yeah, you're probably not supposed to get everything in this movie, some of it just plainly doesn't make a lot of sense but I agree, it gets better if you watch it again.
