However, the scene that has stuck with me all of these years is the bathroom scene where the water is everywhere and she is going to electricute either herself or her family. I know that's morbid, but that was the scene that always stuck with me the most.
That's a great scene, but the part about that scene that sticks with me, is whatever it was that was in him, the alien presence, transfers to her.

That's what made it creepy.

Johnny's hair. I don't see why it had to be blond.
I didn't mind the hair actually, I guess they were just trying to play with a new look.

Probably because it reminded me of Fallen where the voice over at the end says, "Like I said, this is the story of how I almost died."
I like that movie, "Fallen", it was creepy and that one line you quoted is what freaked me out the most at the end!

Here is my review:

Did you re-watch the movie in order to share your comments and opinions or are you posting your comments and opinions from what you remember of the movie?

I did re-watch, but I didn't need too!

What was the best scene in the movie and why?

I really loved the scene when you see Jill (Charlize Theron) watching the tape that Sherman (Joe Morton) gave her to watch and Spencer (Johnny) comes home with a video to watch.

Now Jill lies to Spencer, telling him it's a pregnancy video, and you know from watching that Spencer knows she's lying, but it was a great scene because you see Johnny as creepy and not quite sure what he's thinking, while Charlize is acting terrified yet needs to be calm.

Overall, it was a great scene because it shows the intensity of the situation.

What did you think of the cast?

I liked the whole cast. But Nan (Clea DuVall) was not believable as Jillian's (Charlize Theron) sister. They don't look enough alike to be compared as sisters, unless Nan was adopted, but I don't think that was the case.

With that said, even someone like Amy Smart would have been a better actress for that part.

Did you like the way the movie was filmed?

I liked how the scenes were filmed, especially near the end of the film when Jill is threatening to kill herself and the babies inside her with the power cords and running water.

The best part of that scene was the close-ups of the water coming from the upper level. Well done.

What one thing would you change about the movie and why?

The one thing I would have changed was who was cast as Jill's sister, Nan.

Anything else to add:

This is an intense movie and one you need to pay attention to to follow the implications. Like the scene I mentioned about them watching the movie, it was all about body language and facial expressions.

This is the scene I mentioned about the movie:

I love the photo that you supplied. I hate movies where the happiest part is the beginning of the movie.

Well, technically that's how this movie started.

They were happy and nekked in bed!

And he likes her peaches!

It's a scene that makes me laugh, like the only scene in the whole movie where you chuckle a little you know.

Here is my review:

I re-watched it, which was cool cuz I hadn't seen it in a while.

What was the best scene in the movie and why?

I really loved the scene when Jill (Charlize) is listening to music and starts dancing around the apartment, then goes into the kitchen and starts eating right out of the fridge. It's such a such a sweet, genuine moment, like something we'd all do. And then when she closes the fridge door and Spencer (Johnny) is there and it's scary for a split second and then becomes more romantic.

What did you think of the cast?

I liked the whole cast, except for Tom Noonan who played Spencer's bald boss, McLaren. It was a very small part, but the scene where they're having dinner with McLaren and his wife (Blair Brown, who I did like) totally creeped me out. The guy had this big bald head and HUGE hands, which he kept gesturing with and it just gave me the willies. Silly, but true.

Did you like the way the movie was filmed?

I thought the film looked really good, overall.

What one thing would you change about the movie and why?

You know, something was off for me, but it's hard for me to put my finger on what it is. It just felt like there wasn't enough Johnny (could there ever be in a film? ) But, like the impression I was left with, after the movie ended, was a strong one of Charlize and her presence, but I didn't quite get that with Johnny. I don't know if it's not enough screen time, not enough character development or dialogue or too subtle a performance, but I just needed more ya know? Maybe more good Spencer to contrast with bad Spencer. Don't get me wrong, I loved Johnny in the part and would love it if he did more stuff like this.

Anything else to add:

I know I'm knit picking, but I was just thinking about the film this morning, where it goes from Jill (Charlize) killing Spencer (Johnny) to her new life with her new husband and sending the twins off to school. I kept thinking, so a world famous astronaut dies, her sister dies, a former NASA employee dies, and she just walks away and starts a new life? Like there was no police investigation, where she would reasonably be the main suspect, or did she just run away? It's a little thing and doesn't really matter, but it did cross my mind.

I agree with your last comments about her and her 'new life'.

But it's a time jump, at least 10 years, so maybe it was all pinned on Spencer and out of guilt he electrocuted himself.

Although it would have been nice to know how that was all wrapped up.

A lot of people didn't like Johnny's look, he had blond hair and he wasn't in the movie as much as I would have liked.

Plus, he was the villain for the most part you know.

It was about alien entities using a human body as a host and how it changed the people involved.

Overall, it's a suspense movie and I liked it, but I guess it's one of those movies that's like an acquired taste.
