Stealing Cars Thread#1: Because being bad never looked so good
'One Tree Hill' Star Resorts to 'Stealing'
Mon, Apr 18, 2005, 02:04 PM PT LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - "One Tree Hill" star Chad Michael Murray has turned to a life of crime. The 23-year-old WB heartthrob is in final talks to star in Warner Bros.' "Stealing Cars," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The drama revolves around troubled teen (Murray) who feels responsible for his father's accidental death. He begins to commit petty crimes and finally lands in the Arizona Juvenile Institution where he befriends the local sheriff, resident nurse and other inmates in order to rise up against the corrupt administrators. Zap2It Roxy and I decided that since we might not hear "officially" if "Stealing Cars" got picked up that it would be best to start the thread. If this project falls through, we always have the option of closing the thread, so for now - we'll keep it open. Let the discussions begin! Also, my titles are lame, so if you have any ideas for titles, post them below  __________________

Since Chad is now talking about the movie in the two articles Chrissy posted at the news thread, I guess it's safe for us to say he's signed on. I wonder where the movie will be filming.
I love the way he's describing it -- as what it would've been like for Will Hunting to go to prison instead of therapy. Sounds like an interesting premise. |

I agree - I think he's most likely signed on now...this movie should be interesting because it will be a little different than what he's normally worked on - he's trying to get his credibility as an actor with this movie, so it should be interesting to see how everything turns out

CMM seems to like this movie a lot because he'll get to play a very intriguing character - I'm wondering how it will all play out. I would really like to see CMM really lead a movie and see what how it goes
