| another boring episode. Since Lucas is what has always got me interested in the show and since nothing really happened with him in this episode, I got bored. Lucas/Brooke/Angie I can't take seriously anything of the Angie stuff because the premise if ridicolous so I keep cringing at every scene. The scene in the doctor office felt wrong and weird, I felt something was off. Lucas throwing a few questions here and there, and Brooke acting like she's stupid and doesn't understand. I didn't like the scene at all. The BabyBrooke clothing line made me laugh hard, as the WTF look Angie gives Brooke all the times Lucas/Lindsey/Peyton it got boring already episodes ago. I can't stand it anymore. Peyton going to see Lindsey was completely inappropriate, as it was very inappropriate from Lindsey to give Peyton Lucas' book. Let's end this mess, I think everyone is sick and tired of it coach Lucas only stuff I could enjoy. It gets Lucas with the guys and out of any love triangle, so I always like it. Lucas/Haley I always like to see them interact. I appreciated Haley told Lucas about Dan, while it looks like Nathan didn't even think that maybe Lucas had to know too. Someone might think Lucas is too harsh with Dan, considering Dan is dying, but personally I think Lucas' reaction is one of the few realistic things left on the show. but I think in the future and if Dan really dies, it will be realistic also to have some kind of inner debate on Lucas part on the way he is dealing with the news now. Millicent/Mouth I don't really care about anything Mouth. but I really like Millicent and she makes Mouth a little bit more bearable NHJ I understand NH are in a difficult position when it comes to grandpa Dan, but now it's been a while since Dan came back into their life and they haven't talked with Jamie about it yet. I think it's about time they have a conversation with Jamie. __________________ 'Cause I can't breathe | |||

| This episode was still slow paced, but I have to say I really feel like the show is starting to get its groove back now. I felt like the episode had a lot of heart and sweet moments that carried it along. It was a nice comfortable watch that didn’t have a mass of excitement but still had its powerful moments. I absolutely loved Peyton in the episode. So many times she’s labelled selfish, but she really pushed what she wanted aside for Lucas’ happiness. She was willing to try and help get Lindsey back for him and try and convince her she wasn’t a problem if that’s what Lucas wanted. I think that showed strength of character for her to do that even though it was something that obviously made her sad. It’s becoming more and more obvious that the book is too blatant from Lucas. Lindsey is smart and she knows exactly what that book means, especially as an editor. She has seen Lucas and his passion for writing and it might be a work of fiction, but like Haley said some of her subconscious gets into her work and maybe that’s the same for Lucas and from what the show is showing us it is the case. The last scene it was becoming obvious that Peyton, now not only knows of her feelings for Lucas, but was crying for the knowledge that he has feelings too. They’re just not being shown yet and she will have to be patient and wait for him. Lucas was good in the episode. He’s still into Lindsey, which is not completely unexpected. I liked all his scenes and he was a good guy throughout. The BL scenes were ok and I liked the way he reacted to Dan’s news. Yes it was harsh at times and a little dark, but this is the man who took the only father he ever knew from him. A little bitterness and distain has to be expected. I loved the moment between LP, he kind of checked her out which was funny and it was a lighter awkward moment for the show between them. It was nice to actually see more of him an episode too and the coaching was great. I think it’s about time we actually saw a character dig into their chosen career and it was great seeing that. Haley was in the episode so much and that made a nice change. It was good seeing Joy get more screen time and she was a good mother, friend and confidant for the whole episode. I loved the PH scenes most where Haley was so supportive and I think finally giving a voice to what a lot of people are thinking about Lucas and the book. Not everyone agrees probably, but it was nice to finally get some insight into the content of a book that’s caused so much drama. I thought she made some tough decisions when it came to Dan and Jamie, she was strong and did what only a good mother can. She was protective, but supportive of Nathan and that is what he needed too. Nathan’s coaching of Quentin was good and I loved his strength in the face of Dan’s pleading. I think despite Dan dying, he doesn’t deserve that chance and it was great to see Nathan stand up to him. He’s struggling now to find a balance and decide what to do. I’m actually routing for his basketball comeback and it’s finally great to see that storyline being tackled. I also actually enjoyed Quentin owning up, especially apologising to Skills who I think more than deserved that apology. Brooke’s baby storyline is doing ok for what it is, even if I feel it’s ridiculous. I did like the scene with the doctor and feel Brooke’s emotion in towards Angie. The Macy’s meeting was a little Disney movie for me, but it did fit with the episode. It was good to see Brooke and all the characters generally starting to get their careers back on track in some way and I enjoyed that element to the episode. The baby Brooke line I did find a little nauseating, but then the career stuff on this show can get a little over the top sometimes. Mouth and Millicent were sweet in this episode, but they still bore me. It feels like they’re just shoved in there as extra pieces of the puzzle that don’t really fit. Their storyline doesn’t really need any connect with the core cast, so they’re on almost an individual storyline that’s just unnecessary and taking screen time away from where it could be better used. I hate Dan so much, especially when he was pleading and using the pity card on Nathan. I thought that was so low and for all he wants to make up for some regrets part of me feels like it’d be nice if he just went out with some dignity. If he really just wanted good things for the family then he could leave them money and a house for after he had died, but no he makes a big show of it, using it in some way to try and get back into their lives. He doesn’t seem to get that most people don’t really have a lot of patience with murderers. Paul is amazing though, he really nailed all those scenes and stole the show. He even gets me to feel that pity for a character that I can’t stand. There’s so much raw emotion to his performance and I kinda hope he does get that transplant so that he can still be on the show till the end. Overall the episode seemed to have a theme of strength of character. Every one of the core 5 and a few other regulars really stepped up. Everyone had there strong moments where they took control of their lives and started to move forward in a direction that was positive for them in some way. That was good to see and made a nice change to seeing them just let events happen around them. It made this one of the better recent episodes to watch and I enjoyed it much more than the rest of the post strike episodes. I’d say it was a return to form for a show that in my opinion has been lagging on much entertainment the past few weeks. Having said that it’s still a situation where everything is going in one big circle where I feel like it’s just going to end at the season finale right where 512 was, like these 6 post strike episodes are just a stall so that the plan for s6 can be put into action exactly the same way it would have been before these episodes were known about. That’s a little disappointing and to a degree makes the episodes pointless in a way. They do still come with some entertaining moments though. __________________ | |||
