Lucas Eugene Scott is arguably the main character of the hit television show One Tree Hill played by Chad Michael Murray. In the first season he is cast as the half brother of a boy called Nathan Scott, the first season concentrates on their relationship as well as Lucas' relationships with a temptress named Brooke Davis as well as Nathan's ex-girlfriend Peyton Sawyer. However, by the end of the first season there is a stalemate, which is promised to be resolved in later seasons. Also through the entire show up to date his best friend has been Haley James Scott, wife of Nathan and roommate to Lucas's current girlfriend Brooke. After his father Dan Scott had a heartattack Lucas discovered he had a genetic heart condition known as HCM, he keeps this from everyone but his father so he can continue to play basketball. After another falling out with Dan he stole money from his mother, to pay for his medication. He then stopped taking it so his basketball game wouldn't suffer.

it seems like most of us aren't really enjoying Lucas' ~~lack of~~ storyline lately. so what about talking about the past? what's your favorite Lucas storyline in the entire series? what did you enjoy the most?

personally, I loved the HCM stuff. I know some people didn't, but I really appreciated it. I think it gave Chad good material to work with, and I loved to see Lucas struggle with it. First the denial, then the hiding, then the acceptance and admission. I loved that Haley was the only one he told and that she tried to take care of him as she could. And I appreciated that it wasn't immediately forgotten, but it came back in season 4, when he got back on the team but playing only part of the games. The all thing made his final and winning shot for the championship even better.

And in answer to your question, I enjoyed the HCM storyline too. But I think my fave (so far) has been the school shooting with Keith's murder. Chad's acting during this time blew me away.

Hmm, this is a tough question because there are a lot of storylines that I loved. One of the storylines/motifs (and episodes later that I really enjoyed) that I always enjoyed was how literature always had a big impact in Lucas' life. Like I loved how in the pilot Lucas got Julius Caesar from his mom/Haley:

And how 3 seasons later, that same scene came back into focus:

Literature was a huge part of Lucas' life, especially in s1. Lucas' love for books in the beginning was used to separate him from Nathan but I loved how it involved into an acutal storyline and it's a big part of Lucas' life now -- his career. I love watching Lucas read and Lucas' VOs from books are fantastic

now that you mentioned literature: how awesome was when Luke used to have voiceovers at the end of every episode? I loved those taken from books. I haven't watched the latest episodes, but I think getting a Lucas voiceover now is a myracle, isn't it?

Thanks for adding me and I definitely miss Lucas's voiceovers. I think they gave more insight on what he was feeling about everything that was happening in is his life. I honestly do not know why they do not have them anymore.

it's a mistery. in season 5 they became less and less and I think in season 6 they have basically disappeared

In the last episode there was sort of a VO but it was not by Lucas....

I've always hated when someone else does the voiceover, I think Chad has the best voice and the best delivering
