Amelia, if that's the case, then why do I see game threads on page 2 that haven't had a single post in 10 days, and more game thread on pages 3 and 4?

New blood is good, I agree, but not without getting rid of old blood. I'd hate to see the 1st page only containing game threads because people post there more frequently I've counted an estimate of 15 game threads, just on the two first pages. Thats ALOT

I've checked the first 5 pages and the inactive games are Six Degrees, Scrabble, Addiction, and Funny Screen Caps

So maybe it would be an idea to get rid of a couple of those before adding any new ones, if that's what the majority wants.

I forgot to respond to something you wrote Amelia I know it's just a suggestion thread, but I wanted to let you guys know my opinion aswell on the subject

There is the CMM Hot Seat aswell, but I guess that can be considered as either.

I think we should get rid of Scrabble. Its too hard to finish..

I love Six Degrees though, but its kinda difficult so i understand if people have trouble with it.

Funny Screen Caps, addiction seems fun too, maybe all it needs is a good bump..

I agree that Six Degrees should stick around, because that's rarely a thread where you can go just to up your posts If you haven't noticed (), I hate game threads where people just go to up their count.
The screen cap thread is funny as hell, when it's active

Things like these take time And remember, not everything suggested here is going to get the green light. I know from my mod days, that Amelia and Deanna have to talk all the suggestions through and think of the pro's and con's and then make a decision So it can take a while.

Right, very good point to make. Both Deanna & I greatly appreciate all feedback given by you all, both positive and negative, but it's definitely going to take time to discuss what we think and everything. Plus, if we do ultimately decide to add new threads, we would give you all an announcement on what our plans are and most likely post the threads ourselves. So please don't start any of these threads until we give the okay

I'd really hate to 'get rid' of any thread, because there might be some people who actually enjoy posting on the thread, and I'd hate to take away something they like. The thing is that not all threads work -- some threads work great on some boards and fail on others. For example, we have a Chad's Quotes thread floating around somewhere. That thread is pretty difficult to continue playing (thus why it's fallen waaaaaay back) is because not everyone knows Chad's quotes as well as the next person, and it's difficult to find new ones that everyone can use, etc, etc. But on a television show board, a quotes thread does extremely well because everyone quotes tv shows and it's easy to find quotes. So, most threads here, if they aren't the ones on the first few pages, just didn't do well for whatever reason, and that's okay But I'd hate to get rid of it completely. I'd like to have them still available as an option but have other games people want to play as well. It's not a requirement that every poster on the board posts in ever single thread, but we want to have a great selection for every poster to choose from

Some people like playing in game threads but don't have a chance to post every single day, so sometimes, certain threads might be extremely active, and for other times, not so much. But most of them get bumped eventually I know for me, I'd love to be able to bump every single game thread, but sometimes I just don't have time to be on all day to bump threads, or other threads are more active and I'd like to be part of the discussion, and I feel like this situation happens with other people too. And some people, like yourself (), don't like to post in game threads, so there's that Not every thread has to be posted in every single day, but a majority of our threads are, and some get bumped to the 2nd and 3rd pages and underneath closed threads.

As long as people are posting and enjoying game threads, personally, I see no reason to get rid of them. If people have ideas for new threads, awesome! The more, the merrier. As long as people still want to post in them and they don't die within two days.

And don't worry Marie, we are glad to hear your opinion on this matter, it's what really counts

You all have posted some really fabulous ideas, by the way. Deanna & I have a lot to talk and think about now It's good to see that other people had similar ideas in mind to our ideas We will try to add some new threads in the next few weeks, or whenever we discuss about them

Ooook.. But the day the whole 1st page is all game threads, I'm going to cry. Because to me it'll make our board look shallow, like we have nothing to talk about, but only play games. I seriously cant be the ONLY one thinking these thoughts? I would hate for myself to begin seeing the board like that, and it won't be a place I want to come, when I have to search for all the discussion threads. I myself am not here to play games, but to talk about Chad.

I just think there should be a limit as to how many game threads a board is allowed to have

Well, there are certain limitations on game threads Not every thread mentioned here will be added. Deanna & I want to add not just game thread but mainly some more Chad discussion threads, so don't worry, it's not all game threads We aren't going to be a shallow-'games only' type board.

Like I said, not every single game thread idea mentioned in this thread will be added. And a lot of threads will most likely be combined. We aren't planning on added 10 threads, just like 3 or 4, at the most. And we definitely already know that we are adding a Chad discussion thread, so

This thread is for discussion, and we are glad that we have some going on
