THE SEASON FINALE FINDS FAVORITE CHARACTERS’ LIVES ABOUT TO CHANGE FOREVER — Nathan (James Lafferty) is released from the Chiefs, and is forced to face Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) and Jamie (Jackson Brundage). On the eve of Peyton’s (Hilarie Burton) delivery, Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Peyton receive a surprise visit from Karen (guest star Moira Kelly). Dan (Paul Johansson) is on death’s door, while Brooke (Sophia Bush) and Victoria (Daphne Zuniga) prepare to re-launch Clothes Over Bro’s. Mark Schwahn wrote and directed the episode. (#624)

I'm so excited for the last ep! And I'm actually going to watch the full ep and not just the LP scenes this time!

this is the series finale to me. I'll watch it just because it's the last one for Chad/Lucas. I hope he gets a closure that can give me some emotion.

My only complaint is that we didn't get a Nathan/Lucas or Lucas/Haley scene.

Other than that, I'm completely content.

this would have been the perfect ending to the show... i really cant wrap my head around that this was his final episode, its really sad but i really hope that its for the best

uhm, reading all the reviews on the boards, it doesn't seem to me like it was that great. We didn't even get a LH or LN scene. But I'm gonna watch Lucas scenes now.

I take back what I said before. I didn't watch all of the episode, just Lucas scenes and part of Dan scenes. Actually, I first watched 6.23. I chose to wait to see that episode too, cause I felt it would be better to watch them together.
I cried

Probably part of the reason why is that I knew this is the end. I know, technically there will be another season, but not for me. I really really really can't fathom how they think they can go on without Lucas and Lucas&Peyton. That's something I don't want to see and I won't. What really made it to me to start crying was the scene with Lucas&Karen on the steps in front of their house. I've always loved their relationship and that scene so immediately reminded me of the other scene they mentioned, in season 1. Beautiful and very touching. I also loved to see Whitey again and I watched part of the scene with him and Dan and the hug touched me. I'm a little sad we didn't get anything really with Lucas and Dan, even though I guess that meeting in front of Lucas house, when Lucas and Karen just ignore Dan, is meant to give them a closure. I've never believed in forgiviness from Lucas and Karen to Dan and I'm glad Mark didn't go through that route.
About Lucas&Peyton: I haven't been a fan in a very long time and even when I liked them, I wasn't a hardcore shipper. But this ending, with LP together, with a child and in the comet, is the best ending possible and the only one that really makes sense when it comes to Lucas love life. Of course that's my opinion, I'm sure others won't agree. But even though BL did have an important love story and I even enjoyed some of it and also LL had its meaning, Peyton's always been Lucas' love of his life. I loved the Comet had a "role" in the finale, cause it's a symbol of LP in my opinion. Of course I loved to see Lucas with his baby girl. I think that gives also a closure to the storyline of Lucas as a man and child of a guy that never wanted him.

Finally, Chad was great in this finale. One Tree Hill is gonna lose something really precious. I can only say "thank you" to him for the passion, committment, emotions and dept he put into portraying Lucas Scott, who will forever be one of my favorite fictional characters.

I loved the ep. I have no complaints. I'm glad LP got their ending and it was fabulous to see Moira on screen again, especially with Chad!

I got a little lump in my throat when LP and Sawyer drove off in the Comet. I knew it was the finale but it really hit me that Chad and Hil are done with OTH.

Even thought I've been counting down the day for months!

I'm mad!

Anyways. Thank god Chad is no longer associated with the manic fandom of OTH. I won't be watching the show anymore and I'm thankful to Chad for stepping away and ending his story as Lucas Scott so beautifully.
