Your Hopes & Expectations for Season3!Seth

Please post your hopes and expectations for Seth, for this coming season, which will start again on September the 8th.

Season 2 was definitely a up and down ride for us Seth fans, which also represents how Season 2 was itself as well, so lets hope S3!Seth will be an improvement, as well as Season 3 as a whole.

I'll post my thoughts later. But feel free what you'd like see Seth face in the next season. Anything you'd like. Relationship wise, storyline wise, anything wise.

I'd really like to see the "growth" that Josh claimed was going to happen but kinda never did. Unless his idea of "growth" is...putting on a wifebeater and getting drunk.

Hmm...I really think Seth got knocked over the head in the finale with Caleb's death and Kirsten's drinking problem. Seth's relationship with Caleb has always been murky, they didn't have a lot of interaction in the whole 2 seasons but they actually seemed close in The Girlfriend. So that gives me an indication that maybe they were close when Seth was younger. I don't think Cal's death has really sunk in yet for Seth, I'd like to see him deal with that and maybe get some insight into what their relationship was before.

I'd like to see Seth become really protective of Kirsten when she gets back from rehab. It'd be nice to see him dote on her and stuff because he realizes that he needs to be less self-absorbed and pay closer attention to his family. It could lead to some nice mother-son moments reminiscent of The Gamble (when Seth asks her visit Ryan in Juvie with him) and will hopefully help Kirsten deal with the void that losing her father caused. And it'd be nice to see how Kirsten factors into Seth and Ryan's decision on where to go to college. Maybe they'll be afraid that if they go to college too far away, she'll get Empty Nest Syndrome and relapse into drinking or something like that.

As for S/S....I really hope they pick up where they left off in the finale. An awesome side of their relationship was shown in the finale and I really want to see their relationship grow and develop this season. No more third parties and constant make-ups and break-ups, please.

I totally agree with the triangle part, I'm really sick of them. The writers can't do anything else???
I want Seth and Summer to have a normal and healthy relationship because last season I really started hating the couple. Sometimes I think that Seth deserves better and he would be just perfect with Marissa.

I want also Seth to grow as a character. I love when he started doing stupid things like getting drunk and breaking the rules. I want more of that this season!.

For me, Season Two of Seth was pretty up & down. I mean I think I only had a slight problem with him just before he started drawing/comic book storyline and the Nana episode. He matured in Episodes 10 & 11, which I would love to see in every episode.

I think a lot of people were pretty annoyed at Part II of the comic book storyline, but I don't think it was bad on Seth's part (besides the whole Rager thing). I just think it was written badly, and for me it really sounded like an un-like Summer thing to do to not know how much the comic book thing meant to him. This was a pretty good storyline, and they turned it pretty crap.

But for Season 3, I'd still love to see the S/S relationship grow strong. I'm just so damn relieved that they ended up together at the end of the last season. No more third parties, and hopefully they'll be drama free. But that will never happen, can't blame for me wishin'.

I'd love to see more Seth & Kirsten, especially from what happened in the season finale. I mean Seth was pretty sensitive to her leaving to rehab, so I'd love to see the mother/son relationship grow. As for his own storyline, I don't really care as long it doesn't involve in SS breaking up, or it being badly written.

Oh, and I want Seth to do well in school. I'd like to see how conflicted he would be in choosing schools n stuff at the end of the year.

My two cents.

I think the comic book storyline could have worked out better if it was really about Seth's passion and it was written in such a way that we could really see Seth's desire to really succeed with it. But the way it was written made it look more like an ego boost sometimes and an obligation he can't get himself out of other times. The only time I saw him truly excited about the comic book itself in the latter half of the season was when Carter first offered to hook him up with his connections, the rest of the time it was just Zach goading him on.

Anyways, hopefully we've seen the last of the comic book/graphic novel storyline. Seth has other interests and talents anyway. But I would love to see mother/son connect through art. Kirsten was an Art History major at Berkeley, right? She wanted to open her own gallery or something. And we saw in The Proposal that Seth is really good at painting. There are actually a lot of storylines the writers could come up with if they would just connect the dots.

I wonder if I'll ever get my wish of a father/son surfing scene. LOL. Probably not.

Me too. S2 was a bit of a trial to watch at times and Seth's character really disappointed me at times. I'm just hoping to see more S1 Seth, when he was endearing rather than being just plain stupid half the time.

No more triangles! Just please let Seth and Summer work through any issues together; I'd love to see Summer helping Seth with the Kirsten situation and Seth himself being there for his family.

Please don't disappoint me, Josh!

I think everyone's character disappointed me at times, and I don't think Josh's other writers grasp these characters well like Josh does. I think more Seth and Summer, and Kirsten and Sandy disappointed me this season, as all four were way better in S1, and I did enjoy Marissa and Ryan a whole lot more this season which was strange. Julie was the only character that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I think that Josh is the only one who can give equal care and attention to all characters in one episode, therefore making all the storylines enjoyable. Whereas the other writers are more choppy. Some characters and storylines you like more than the others in one ep.

Yeah, to be honest the only writer I have a problem with is J.J Philbin, although it seems like she actually improved as the season went on. But I'm actually more worried now, that Josh's got a new project - where he's writing the screenplay for Looking for Alaska and directing it too which means he has to give a lot of time to that. I just wonder how much it's going to conflict with the OC.
