Adam Brody and J.K. Simmons have joined the cast of "Jennifer's Body," Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman's follow-up collaboration to "Juno."

Karyn Kusama is directing Fox Atomic's dark comedy/horror film starring Amanda Seyfried and Megan Fox.

Cody's script centers on Jennifer (Fox), a cheerleader possessed by a demon who starts feeding off the boys in a Minnesota farming town. Her bookish best friend (Seyfried) must take drastic measures to protect the town.

Brody will play Nikolai, a hot lead singer of an up-and-coming rock band with a penchant for evil. Simmons will play Mr. Wroblewski, a high school science teacher.

Reitman, his Hard C partner Dan Dubiecki and Mason Novick are producing.

Brody worked with Reitman in "Thank You for Smoking." The actor, who is repped by Endeavor, is attached to play the Flash in Warner Bros.' still-in-development "Justice League" movie.

Simmons is quickly becoming a go-to player for Reitman. He appeared in "Thank You for Smoking" and "Juno." He is repped by Gersh.

I really hope it's not another cameo although it sounds like it is.

I'm just wondering....since it says he's the lead singer of this band...will we see him sing?

I think his character's full name is Nikolai Wolf, by the way. Well that is, if the thing I had read was true.

So if Adam's back in L.A now then does that mean he's finished shooting?

Very interesting indeed.

I dunno, I don't think so. I think the first proper day of shooting began at the beginning of this week, if we go by Diablo's myspace post. It could be that he came back for his JLA fitness/training responsibilities. Or I could be making this phooey up.

Maybe, he went there to rehearse. He will probably fly there again to shoot his scenes.
