| Adam News/Appearances #7 - We love the news especialy Adam news! 'O.C.' star Adam Brody rocks Martini Ranch  When Big Japan took the stage at 10 p.m. Wednesday to a sold-out house at Scottsdale’s Martini Ranch, the audience appeared to have one thing on their minds: Seth Cohen. After all, the Hollywood, Calif., band isn’t a hot commodity due to their indie-rock music. They’re known for their drummer, Adam Brody, who portrays comic-book lovin,’ emo-geek Cohen on Fox’s popular teen angst drama "The O.C." The mostly teenage and early twentysomething crowd, filled with mainly young girls, chanted "I love you, Seth" throughout most of the band’s nearly one-hour set, which featured a lot of Death Cab for Cutie-influenced (read: extremely mellow) music. In addition to hints of Death Cab (a Cohen and Brody fave), the group layered pop and even hardcore sounds in some of their songs with lead singer and guitarist Nathanial Castro growling on a couple tracks. Brody, attired in an orange t-shirt, black jeans and Converse tennis shoes, seemed content hanging in the background, aside from waving to adoring fans and tossing his drum sticks to a couple of lucky girls after the show concluded. Early in the night, Castro explained that this was the group’s first big tour and that they would rock "Guns ‘N Roses 'November Rain'-style" with fireworks during their second jaunt. And although there certainly wasn’t anything groundbreaking in the band’s mostly generic rock set, the audience didn’t seem to care. Twenty-four year-old Denise Glen, wearing an "I Love Adam Brody" t-shirt that she purchased on eBay, made the trek from Tucson to catch an up-close-and-personal glimpse of her favorite "O.C." cast member. "I love his dorkiness," says Glen, who says she received several framed photographs of Brody for Christmas. "He’s adorable." Arielle Stone, 18, of Scottsdale, agrees. "He’s quick-witted and cute and down to earth," she says. "I wish I could have touched him!" And the band? "I think they’re awesome," Glen says. "I like their music and I love the lead singer’s voice." Twenty-year-old Rachel Jensen has one complaint. "I would rather have heard him talk more and not have the guitar player standing in front of him the whole time," says Jensen, a Scottsdale resident. | thanks for the new thread...the title is cute... does Nath has a "real" job next to being a musician? I always thought not? yes and I can totally understand him that he wants the band to be known because of the music and stuff,but I guess that this is hard because of Adam.... __________________ ~Rinna~ Sometimes I still just can't believe you're gone You won't be comin' back. |  yes for sure.....but his solo songs are pretty amazing too...I love his voice..it sounds awesome... and I love the pic of Adam from the Scottsdale show...he looks so much better there than in the pic with the girl on myspace! __________________ ~Rinna~ Sometimes I still just can't believe you're gone You won't be comin' back.
