There were rumors about WAT being canceled for months now, so I'm guessing this episode was in part written for that possibility because there definitely elements (especially at the end with Jack and Viv) that had series finale written all over it.

The missing person case was okay. I was happy that they at least found both of them still alive. It would really be a bummer to go out one someone dying.

As for the Jack/Sam/Brian thing, I preferred her with Brian, as she seemed much more lively. Ultimately, though, I felt they spent way too much time on that aspect of the show over the last couple of seasons and would have preferred if they'd never gone down the baby route possibility in the first place.

Overall, I was pretty satisfied with the finale. I'll miss the show, but I do think it had a good run and had probably run its course.

I was pretty disappointed with the finale.

I have always been a Jack/Sam shipper, actually since the beginning.

So it comes to no great shock at my dismay at the way their relationip was resolved last night.

In hindsight, I know that they probably didn't know that it would be their last episode, therefore, prehaps they were prepared to bring them back together in the future.

A lot of ppl have complained about the introduction of Brian into the mix, and I too didn't agree with having another stumbling block the J/S storyline.

I realize that PM was pregnant, however that could have easily been hidden: ie: AH & CS on HIMYM and KR on GG, among others managed to resolve the issue without introducing a baby-daddy. (Though I do have to admit it was a interesting inside joke at having AK in the role.)

I admit that I found that a lot of the cases were becoming tired, and I found myself watching SVU instead of WaT on many a Tuesday night. That being said I do enjoy watching the past episodes on Bravo at night.

I do wish that some sort of finality had been brought to the final episode last night. I felt as though too many things were left in the air.
Of course that seems to be the case quite frequently when a show is cancelled without warning. So we'll never really know how it all turned out.

I thought the final scene, with Jack Sam and Viv walking away and the shot of the empty bullpen, felt like it had been added once they realised the show had been cancelled. It would have been nicer for the final scene of the series to all 6 characters together though.

This DEFINITELY was the series finale because they showed pictures of all the missing person cases over the years.

The Jack/Sam break-up annoyed the hell out of me. The missing persons case was alright. I was more irritated at seeing Alicia Walker who used to play Courtney on GH.

And, just as a side note, just because they cancelled one of the best shows on TV does not mean that this board is going ANYWHERE. We are still going to be here talking about the show.

The show got cancelled? What????????? No, when was that posted? I'm sad now. The rest of the dvds better get released.

The finale, it was alright. It just bothers me when real life couples are couples on a show. So I wasn't happy with Sam choosing Brian. As for Danny and Elena, well if the show is cancelled I like the finale with the end scene cause we never know if the wedding actually happened. Sorry shippers for the couple but that's just me.

'Fraid so
I'm hoping they realease a boxset of all seven seasons that I can add to my West Wing and Buffy boxsets. I know it's unlikely since they haven't bothered even releasing seasons 5 & 6 yet, but I'm still hoping. Just in time for Christmas would be nice, CBS if you're listening

ABSOLUTELY!

This board is not closing at all.

There are so many board for shows here at FF that no longer air new episodes on TV. We will just join those boards. We'll probably move to Past Shows category but we'll still be here.
