*sigh*... apparently they go on showing always the same side of Danny's body...

Meredith, er.. ehm... uh... sorry,... I... didn't... I got it...
okay: of course I did care a lot more for the kid in Wannabe than the one in A tree falls! That's for sure!

The problem is that I was talking about them, I mean, Danny and Martin, since my temperature is based on them. Well, my so far favorite Martin is in A tree falls, and Danny was very nice in it. There was the scene with Martin and Viv that... wow!

I loved Wannabe, though!

And last night I watched Risen and GungHo.
Risen: nice. I couldn't believe Kirstey Alley got so fat! I hadn't been seeing her for a lot of time obviously!

The scene where Danny talks about his addiction seems to come out of the blue... love the lines he says, not the context and the cut of the scene.

GungHo: I.loved.it. I don't like the case in itself so much, sort of no suspence, I didn't manage to care so much for the boy and his fiancée, but Danny in uniform was... yummy

and.that.last.scene.speaks.for.itself. My Danny fav scene from S2 so far.

Wannabe was the best episode of S2, IMO.

And yes, it better win the survivor game, dammit!

As a whole? Yes, I agree.

But if I reduce the episodes in pieces, then I loved many pieces of A tree falls, Gung ho, and yesterday's Legacy.

The scene of Danny speking to his brother is so powerful, I had to rewatch it cuz I coulnd't believe my ears listening to his perfect acting and tones! Astonishing and moving at the same time!
So now I have two Danny best scenes for S2, last scene of Gung ho and scene in jail of Legacy.

(And what about Martin aiming at the training target at the beginning? )

True, but, as a whole, and with the incredible Danny aspect, Wannabe is *it* for S2, with Gung Ho as a close 2nd.

IMO, of course.

lol... i think (if i'm remembering correctly), my fave of those i've seen in season 2 was gung ho... don't know why really, but i remember liking it

i still haven't seen legacy and wannabe always makes me mad cuz i HATE the girls that make the kid wanna kill himself and i get mad at the missing kid for falling for it in the first place... but otherwise it's a great ep as well...

I think Danny's physically improving (if this is ever possible!) ep by ep in S2, but I have to confirm I love him better in Gung ho and Legacy (angsty and powerless as things keep on going the way they want to and portaying an awesome irresistible face! ).

So said, Wannabe is great and I also agree with you, Emily, that I couldn't stand those girls and that I felt close to the missing kid.

I count on the italian version coming next fall to relax to rewatch it, though, and not be forced to concentrate to understand what they say. I have the feeling that some of my emotional judgements might change a little.

Last night Doppelganger and Shadows.
I liked Doppel. a lot!! It seemed like everyone hated it in the S2 topic!!
Shadows: Good documentary about Martin dressed down, relaxed Martin in the flashbacks, very pretty,
but the kind of angst we breath in that ep is not the one I like. Martin crying at the end is great, but I had watched that clip lots of time so that unfortunately it was no surprise to me anymore!

Yeah, I am one of the few that actually really liked it, as well.

I didn't hate Doppelganger. It just didn't enthrall me as much as some of the other episodes of season two. I just didn't have the emotional connection with it. I wouldn't have been upset if it had lasted longer in Survivor, but there were other ones that I liked better.

Why isn't it the kind of angst that you like? What kind of angst do you like? I don't know if I was more connected to this episode because my mother has/had breast cancer, but I really was emotionally attached to the missing person. I was almost in tears from the instant they said she was terminal! I also liked the exploration of Martin without it revealing everything about him and his past. I just wish they had followed up on the episode. I'm assuming that Aunt Bonnie has died by now; why couldn't they have mentioned something about it, like a comment about Martin going to her funeral? It might just be me, though. Maybe no one else wanted to see something like that.

Now that you brought it up, I would have liked a mention. That would have been good and consistent.

I'll probably edit this post later, but I had the urge to say that it's just it: I told you in my latest mail about my personal experience, (which I'm not going to talk about here) and I.don't.want.to.relive.it.when.I.watch.TV. It's just a different reaction to maybe a different situation I have compared to yours, sorry! (speaking of, I repeat my best best best wishes to your mum!)

Let's say I prefer a kind of angst which is related to our boys personally, and possibly not dealing with diseases, and reversable ones, that is situations we know will be over.

Last night the dramatic Two families. This S2 is fantastic. Apart from 2 or 3 eps I was caught by any one I watched so far!!

I understand now! Escapism in fiction, right?

I know. There really weren't that many sub-par episodes. I'm really upset that I didn't keep them on tape and they aren't out on DVD yet!

Just a quick note to say that i liked Shadows 'case it had a good case without too much personal stuff about Martin, only some revelation that you had to watch hard to see. I'd understand, thought, if someone didn't like it because it lacked Danny and Vivian. As I've said before, it was an episode in true WaT fashion, in which the writers weren't trying to educate or to impart some moral lesson.
Martin? EC simply rocked, and his character still stayed a mistery.
Hey, even when I'm on vacation I can't resist defending my Martin!

Ross: I'm happy you found a way to watch the last four episodes! I still haven't :-(

They just work in my dvd/dvx reader! In fact last night I was wondering what you meant in saying that we couldn't see them! Let me know if I can do something for you!

Last night, after just a few hours of readjusting my body after my return journey from Prague, to relax (LOL, and b/c I was having severe withdrawal symptoms! ) I watched The season and Lost and found, so finally I'm getting into the troubles of Jack's marriage!

LOL, I didn't remember how gorgeous Danny is!!!!!
