Since a glitch ate our last thread, I'm converting this thread into the new Poppy appreciation thread. So ... appreciate away!

From CBS.com

Her television credits include the CBS mini-series "Blonde," in which she played Marilyn Monroe, and the movie "Jake Lassiter." She was a series regular in "Relativity" and "The Beat," and guest-starred in "Party of Five" and "NYPD Blue." She will be seen in the upcoming CBS television movie "Raising Waylon" and the feature film "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover."

Born in Sydney, Australia, she lives in Los Angeles. Her birth date is June 19.

I checked on this issue... and it seems as if similar 'missing threads' have also occurred on other boards...

Perhaps a glitch of some sort?

Feel free to transform this thread into your new Poppy appreciation thread or start a new one and I'll close this one down

Thanks for checking on the matter Astra! I edited the title and opening post to make this into the new appreciation thread.

Here are the pictures I posted in the old thread last Thursday or Friday from the TV movie "Raising Waylon" which aired recently. I think Poppy looks sooo pretty!

Aw, why did it have to be the Poppy thread that got eaten up. I'll look for some more pictures of her to decorate the thread again later.

I still haven't watched my tape of the movie yet. Maybe I'll get to it next weekend.

Steph, maybe you could edit this into the first post. It's from cbs.com:

Poppy’s in bloom
Australia's TV Week

Poppy Montgomery is having a ball in Hollywood. The Without A Trace star lets us in on her style secrets.

How would you describe your look?
My whole look is not too much make-up. I like that fresh, Australian girl look. All the Aussie girls who look great keep it simple, like Nicole (Kidman) and Naomi (Watts). I go for classic stuff. I would love to be able to dress like Cameron Diaz because I think she is funky and edgy, but I don’t have that knack of throwing stuff together.

What do you wear around the house?
My pyjamas, T-shirt and no bra. I hate wearing bras! I also wear sweat pants and flip-flops because I’ll be going to set where they’re going to do everything (to me) anyway. When I’m kicking around I’m in jeans and a T-shirt, something simple. I like to be comfortable, so nothing tight. Ninety per cent of looking good in clothes is feeling good in them first.

Have you been educated in fashion since Without A Trace became a hit?
I never thought about fashion much before and there is a lot to learn. I’m really unsure. I don’t trust my taste yet. I need a girlfriend or someone to come over and say, “Yeah, you can leave the house like that.” But I like to think I’m learning. My tendency is I go too simple so I’ve got to take more risks and that’s what I’m learning to do now, and also to be more comfortable with my body.

What are your best (and worst) shopping habits?
I still buy some things that are great and then I buy things and think, “Why did I buy that?”, and it’s still hanging in the closet with the tags on and I’ll probably never wear it. It’s trial and error, fashion.

Where do you shop?
I like Fred Segal and Paper Bag Princess, which is a vintage store in Santa Monica. I go to Barneys because you can get all your favourite designers there.

Who are your favourite designers?
Marc Jacobs for clothes and shoes. I’ve always loved Prada. I love Chanel and Balenciaga. Dolce & Gabbana works well on my body, and I love their suits.

What are your current fashion obsessions?
I’m obsessed with Blue Cult jeans. I love any cashmere sweaters. I buy a lot of Dolce & Gabbana tank tops that fit great. I always wear heels. I’m not a flat shoe girl. Maybe because I feel taller and more statuesque in heels!

What about jewellery?
I used to only wear studs and not big earrings, but I’m becoming more and more intrigued with jewellery of all kinds. Jessica (Poppy’s stylist) has really helped me and shown me some great pieces. I was scared wearing all those diamonds recently to a Lili Claire Foundation benefit – I had $US700,000 ($A907,000) worth of borrowed diamonds on and I was terrified an earring would drop off! I’m also a junkie for accessories. I love belts and scarves and handbags and shoes.

What about your hair?
I like to wear it down because it feels more natural, but I’m starting to wear it up too because it’s pretty and shows your face. Linda, my hairstylist on the show, helps me do fun looks with ponytails and stuff, and also pulls it all off my face in a classic look that I like.

Do you often get recognised?
I don’t go around looking like I look on TV so I don’t get recognised. I run around with my hair scraped back in a bun and no make-up.

I always hate they leave out Glory Days in her list of credits.

Poppy was on Ellen today. Ellen made her go through the story of her full name and her sisters' and brother's names just like all the other talk show hosts do. Then they called her mom in Australia, but they just got the machine. They played a game called Celebrity Head.
