Scrubs - Season 9 Speculations Thread

Hi guys!

Since some of you asked about having such a thread, Ash and I decided to give it a try.

You do need to remember some ground rules though:
- this is a speculations thread. So anyone can say what they think it's gonna happen and if you don't like it, you're welcome to discuss it but definitely not welcome to fight over it.
- spoilers are not permitted on this board. This means articles, set pictures, etc. There's a whole board for spoilers, this one is spoiler-free. Casting news are ok. Spoilers aren't.

We'll be monitoring the thread often so please keep by the rules.

Thank you both, I have ideas running through my head all the time, I would like to write down, and then forget so this is the perfect thread for that.

Thing the biggest speculation is when will it be set, and how the frick can you use J.D. to settle in a new show.

I suppose med school is the most probable setting. I do wonder how JD's gonna fit though, I mean they can get Kelso to teach sometimes but JD works in another hospital and will be residency director so I suppose he'll have his teaching jobs in St Vincent.

I don't know, it's rather strange. I'm nervous about it all but at the same time very excited. I reckon they have a plan, I can't wait to see how it all works out.

And how previous secondary characters will fill into it too.

I think there will be a whole new crew of secondary characters or possibly none at all.

I'd love to see an episode of The Paper Chase to see what its humour is like, all I can find is the opening titles and good verbal beating the lecturer gave to I think the star on Youtube, I think Doctor Cox could do a similar role.

Also I can not find the spoilers thread I've looked all over.

Well one thing can be said, it has a four year life span with the first bunch of Medical Students.

Interesting. I'd like that to be honest, four more seasons with just the med students. We get the gist of what happens to them after that.

I think they don't know themselves, we'll have to wait and see how this season goes.

I think it might just pick up a whole new fanbase, since so many scrubs fans are saying that they won't really be watching it.

. It's kind of likely.

They are just being moany because they cant handle a change of a little TV show, let them have their way.

Problem with a new fan base is fact that any jokes or references to events or characters of the past maybe ignored so not to alienate newer fans.

I think most old fans will watchat least the first episodes with JD, and then maybe will get hooked.

In an idea world that's likely but, come on, people are picky, it's hard to say really if they will get hooked.

Or, worst comes to worst, they'll watch it but then they'll just complain about how it's different. I'm not excited about the fan reaction, I can say that much.
