An awesome premiere.

In my opinion, the second episode was better than the first. I have to admit the George storyline caused me to tear up a little bit. The fear of death is something a lot of people can relate to.

I believe these two episodes set up the characters especially JD to really mature in future episodes. But I'm sure there's going to be humor to lighten the mood (Steak dance/song FTW)

I'm so glad that Scrubs is back.

And they used Death Cab The second episode almost made me cry

I have to go to school now but expect a much longer post about how awesome they were later.

As for this Tony guy, you may be entitled to your opinion. However, I'm also entitled to tell you your wrong on so many levels. The comedy in these episodes was classic Scrubs, and if you actually knew what you were talking about you would know. The new interns are hilarious, especially Joe, she is my favorite, she kills me whenever she talks lol. She isn’t too hard on the eyes either, despite her masculine mannerisms. Also, where is this new set, I didn't see one. They changed the lighting on set a little but that’s about it. Honestly, I don't believe you have been watching the show that long. But like I said, you entitled to your opinion, even though your sooooo wrong.

Scrubs is back! I enjoyed these two episodes. I thought it was a nice idea to set the second episode almost entirely in George's room.

One thing - were Elliot or Dr. Cox in the second episode? I don't remember them being there at all. They've never missed an episode before.

They weren't in it . Either was Kelso and The Janitor
First one they have missed but everyone is sitting a few out this year

...ok, just watched the episodes. And here are my two cents.
-My Jerks: good season start. Loved Courtney, she is absolutely perfect in her role. Makes me miss Friends even more. And I liked Cox discovering her "dark side". I do think it was a bit harsh to fire the Janitor immediately, but there'll be a reason behind that for sure.
JD's problems with the interns were totally understandable and also very real- I've seen it happen more than once at the hospital. I'm glad Cox was the one who helped him out. Not quite a hug yet but we'll get there. And yep I do agree the "Dorian" was a bit weird. Betty would have been better.
Elliot's story was really small but also really meaningful. It's so good she finally faced Keith and her own behaviour. It's true, last season she was too self-involved, which is understandable but had to stop at some point. Funny how Ted helped her figure that out.
And now to the new interns: first question: where's Sunny? The one who shot the first webisode? There's not even mention of her. Just wondering.
About the others... I like Denise. She's hilarious. I wonder if her people skills will ever get better.
I'm not really crazy about Ed. He remembers me too much of JD, plus... I don't know. All the stuff about texting and so... I'll reserve my judgement for another time.
Not much to say about Katie yet, except that I have a couple of girls in med school who act like her and it's a miracle I haven't killed them yet.

-My Last Words: Loved loved loved it. Really. It was weird not to have all the regulars around, but we already knew that was coming and, apart from that, it was really well structured.
The Steak Night song is gonna become a classic, as well as the dance. I wonder if I can get the song as my ringtone.
And all the stuff about George, and death... it was deep, and sad. But not too sad- a good mixture I'd say. Loved the bit about the milkshake pool and the lesbian cloud, and also the "When Carla gets there, Heaven is gonna suck!"
My fave funny moment was the stuffed JD fantasy. Awesome.
And when George went, it was moving. I really liked this episode.

...looking forward to next week.

ETA: Tony- The set is absolutely the same. I don't know what gave you the weird idea it's different but it is not.

Yeah that was awesome. Such a great song probably my fav Death Cab song. It worked so well for the scene too

ok wow Tony tough critic huh?

Are you sure you watched the same 2 episodes we did and not the princess finale from last season? lol(now thats an episode that deserves some bashing). I can understand if you didn't love the episode but how could you say it was that bad. I think any true fan of Scrubs would have enjoyed these episodes atleast a little. Have you watched this show before or have you just seen some repeats on Comedy Central or something because Scrubs always has some dry humor and like never has goofy twists yeah some goofy stuff but never goofy twists.

And ofcourse the set and look is gonna look alittle different its a different network it can't be exactly the same. And really the only difference I could tell was the lighting. Big Deal.

Sounds to me like overall you just don't like the characters and show evolving. You complain about Dr. Cox calling JD by his last name. Yeah so what he's worked with him long enough to call him by his real name once inawhile. They can't keep everything like season 1 if they did it would be stupid to even continue the show. And sounds like you just watch the show for the comedy part of it which is perfectly fine but don't expect every episode to be laugh out loud funny because any true fan would know to expect some serious episodes like the 2nd one tonight which I thought still had alot of funny lines in it.

Just give it alittle more maybe you just had to high expectations or just were caught off by the minor changes now that its on ABC. Give the interns a chance too they had like one scene. Hell maybe if you watched these episodes again you'd like them sometimes when I expect to much from a show or movie I get so disappointed when its not as good as I hoped I think its worse than it actual was.

I think it would have been a terrible move if the ended it last season after the writers strike that would have sucked. IMO these episodes were better than alot of the ones last season if not all. Last season would have been a bad season to end with I think this years overall will be much better. Good way to start I thought.

This song had already been used in season 7, My Bad Too. I'm glad it was used again 'cos it's an awesome song.
And Death Cab For Cutie...

I'm pretty sure they weren't and I'm pretty sure they have missed episodes before but yeah its rare. I liked though how the show just was just really about JD/Turk and George.

I expect that alot this season since its the last and the actors are probably working on different projects when they were filming some episodes. Its like how JD only have like 1 scene in a few episodes last season.

Just watched the first two episodes of the new season and I wasn't overly impressed with the first episode but it was funny. Second episode was pretty emotional and I liked it. I do like the fact they've let the characters progress. It was nice to let the Elliot/Keith thing come to a conclusion (I'm assuming it has) and I wait with baited breath for next week's episode.

I didn't know people were missing any episodes this year. I'm so behind on Scrubs news.

Roll on next week! Another double-bill! We haven't gotten two episodes at once since Season 5.

The new scrubs was okay-ish. Was some funny bi. But the cast are going old now. And i miss the young, funny cast and Kelso. Ted with his red balloon. "loser"
Does anyone like the think there do at the end of show when there show the credits? It's very wierd.

I though, i heard the song from episode two. Death Cab. Love that song. Make me cry a little.

I really like the extra scene they play during the end credits. The first one (where they poked fun at the show's dip in quality and their ratings) was hilarious:

JD: Come on! I know it's tempting to just 'mail it in' but there are still a lot of people who rely on us week-to-week. I think we owe it to them to be as inspired as we were in our first few years... I still think we're as good as anyone out there!
Turk: The Nielsens certainly beg to differ.
