Scrubs - Bill and the Creative Team

(i'm really bad at coming up with titles so if anyone has one - feel free to change it)

I know we had a Bill Lawrence thread before the crash but I didn't see it in our board guide.

Just the other day I was thinking about how you never hear anything about the writers of Scrubs - everything is contributed to Bill Lawrence.

Then the next day, ironically, I read an interview with David Fury (writer BtVS & Angel) and he was stating how uncommon it is for writers to get individual attention like they did with BtVS & Angel and that it was all because of Joss. He noted that for most shows, the creator gets all the credit.

I think this is sad. Don't get me wrong - I love Bill. I think he has had an excellent vision for Scrubs and that he has executed it perfectly. But I'm 99% sure that several great ideas have come from other people. I wish we could hear more about these crew members. They deserve their kudos too!

I think the Bill thread was pretty new before the crash, so it will certainly have been lost.

And you're right, they do deserve it. Mark Stegemann has a commentary with Donald Faison on the R1 S3 DVD set, and I'm really looking forward to hearing what he has to say!

A Canadian writer's blog has an interview with Bill Lawrence. He even mentions Buffy. I wish they'd have some Buffy alums guest on Scrubs!!

I really didn't look into this until tonight but it is awesome! Over 50 video blogs since October...and I've only watched 5 so far but I will definitely watch more!

And yes, they feature BILL and his TEAM, as well as the cast members! Awesome stuff to watch when you have nothing better to do.

I just watched a video blog of Ken Jenkins (aka Dr. Kelso) which was him telling a scary story. He looked freaky in it...like Igor from Frankenstein, but in a funny way

Off to watch more. I definitely want to watch the blog they MUST have about the "My Lunch" episode (if it exists), as well as see if they have any blogs explaining why they ended with the cliffhanger they ended with.

(I think Cox and Jordan's second child was inevitable/required, as Christa Miller is supposedly expecting herself.)

Thanks for that! It was pimped back when it started, but a lot of people still don't know about it so it's a good thing to mention!

I think Christa's pregnancy is also fairly common knowledge now

I love Bill at the moment.

How he's not lying and saying how he knows it's going to be amazing, when he doesn't really have a clue like the rest of us.
