| The Debbie Downer skit was so funny. Everyone was failing to surpress their laughter; Rachel cracked me up. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] I [img]smilies/love.gif[/img] the HP skit. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] I'm so glad I taped SNL, now I can watch it again and again. | Lindsay Lohan is actually a pretty good comedic actress so I wasn't surprised it was funny. But I was really uncomfortable during the Harry Potter sketch (although I'm sure LL was perfectly okay with it). She's 17 and she has these 30+ year old actors staring at her chest - which was the whole one-note point of the sketch which went on way too long for it to continue to be funny. For me it was especially squicky since even though I'm not much older than she is, my biggest memories of LL are from a)the Parent Trap when she was playing these cute little twins and b) seeing her in person at a NYC museum just 2 years ago, I think she was there with her parents or somebody but it was her (recognizable from aforesaid Parent Trap) and she looked NOTHING like she did on SNL. No over-enlarged you-knows and she was as white as a ghost(except for the freckles) - no orange tan. The Debbie Downer sketch was the best of the week - I don't know if they were supposed to crack up (and the lines weren't that funny) and I normally hate that sort of thing when Fallon and Sanz do it but the faces Rachel D. was making was too much...and the wa-wa sound effect just made it all the funnier. | |||

| No way, Jimmy is leaving?!?!  He was so weird on Letterman last month, he seemed really subdued, or determined to be well behaved or something. It seemed odd for him to act that way. | It sucks that Jimmy's leaving. I :heart: him. It doesn't say who's hosting tonight so maybe they'll do a 'best of' show.
