The Jimmy Kimmel Show

I'm obsessed with this show. This is the only late night talk show that I have watched every night since the first time it came on.

I only saw the episode with Elyse Sewell, but it seemed pretty funny. Shia LeBouf was hilarious that night!

My favorite parts of the show have to be Uncle Frank and then Audience Member Theatre. The time when Quentin directed the audience was fricken hilarious.

I like the opening of the show, when Jimmy gives the news of the day, but after that I often turn the TV.

I'm not really sure if I blame Jimmy for disliking Star Jones. She went on her show and told Kathie Griffen (who was going on Jimmy Kimmel the week after that) and the audience that she HATED Jimmy and when asked why she was just like: "I can't stand him!" Jimmy's disliked her ever since then. He's been trying to figure out why she can't stand him.

Kimmel Mocks ABC at Upfront

Facing an audience clad in suits and serious expressions, Kimmel went on for more than five minutes, railing on the network's failures over the past year. The camera-person who relayed the upfront to Los Angeles via close circuit took great pleasure in panning the sea of uncomfortable, glowering Disney executives.

More From Kimmel

"If this were high school, NBC would be the rich kid whose dad bought him a BMW. CBS would be the straight-A student going to Stanford. FOX is the jock who's not too smart but still gets the chicks. And we are the fat kids who eat paste."

"We've gone through what, 11 heads of programming this year? That's the thing. We keep looking for the big hit show. We have it already... 'Who Wants to Run ABC?' Loser gets the job. For a little while anyway."

"The reason why we didn't buy 'The Apprentice' is that it hits too close to home. Mark Burnett comes in and he's, 'You're fired. You're fired.'"

"It's not an easy job. At least the Clippers at the end of a losing season get a high draft pick. We get nothing."

"Sometimes this year we were running three or four episodes of 'George Lopez' in a single night. I know we had no choice at the time, but I, for one, will not stand by quietly while we exploit the Mexican worker like that again."

"We have nothing to spin off. The other networks have eight different 'CSIs' and five different 'Laws and Order,' they've got that stupid 'Joey' going on now. We have nothing. We tried an 'NYPD Pink,' but all the gay groups got mad. We can't even show Dennis Franz's ass anymore thanks to the FCC."

"We've got the 'Nick & Jessica Variety Hour' coming back. Is that a Christmas special? December seems kinda optimistic for them."

"Everything we need to win is right here on our own schedule already. We just need to hope and faith during this ongoing extreme makeover. I'm sure that we'll be out of fourth place by the year 2020."

"If NBC made me sit through a 2.5 hour upfront, I'd figure out a way to punish them."

dude i love this man:lol:

I think more people would be interested in this show if he wasn't on ABC and didn't follow such a politically conservative show. Maybe they could have him take over Conans time slot in 2009. *Shrugs*

Margarita Salt 09-30-2004 11:49 PM

Ooooh, I hope NBC's smart enough to offer it to him, instead of handing it straight over to boring Carson Daly. Watching paint dry is more exciting than watching his show, IMO. Jimmy on the other hand has personality. I would definetly love to see him follow Conan.

I agree whole heartly
