Digging up this thread again

I just saw the episode with Ben Stiller a couple nights ago. It was the funniest episode I'd seen in a while. Vince Vaughn made an appearance and it was fun to watch him and Stiller joke around with Leno.

Anyone else see that episode? I think it aired on Wednesday.

I love Vince Vaughn, the guy can do no wrong in my eyes.

I haven't seen this epi yet, should be a few more days before it hits Australian screens....

I wish Leno was on in Oz every week night, but unfortunately we only get a new epi once a week, the other 4 nights we get repeats. Wah.

Is that how it works on Foxtel... as i was trying to work out if they were all current ones, or at least fairly current eps a while back.

Late last night I was watching a repeat from Monday night and Jay was showing the headlines. One that cracked me up was this school lunch menu:

See, what they serve by Thursday:

That had me crackin' up all night!

In one of the morning shows here, the host mentioned that Leno made a crack about the pulling out of Filipino troops from Iraq to let the Filipino hostage go. The morning show host retorted that all of Leno's brains are in his chin. Heh. This is how touchy we can be. Why can they not see that everything is fair game?

Anyway, I just wanted to share.

And totally not related to the first paragraph, at lot of Leno's jokes are bombing lately. He should consider changing writers, IMO.

Does anyone here like "Ross the Intern"? I find him so funny! I loved it when he and Steve Scheplla (that's spelled wrong sorry) went to the Republican National Convention, that was so funny!

I think there were there for two evenings, the second evening I missed, but I saw the first one (or what I believe was the first) and I love the convo they had with Bill O'Reily (who I don't like) but it was still funny:

Steve: "So what's going on here?"

Bill: "It's the Republican National Convention *looks at camera* great job of hiring Jay"

Ross: How is this different from the Democratic National Convention?"

Bill: "They're different parties."

(The above convo wasn't word for word) It was funnier then it sounds, it's something you had to have seen.

Ross asked someone if the president was smart and they said he was and Ross asked "why doesn't he show it?"

Jay Leno is another favorite late night talk show host besides Conan. I love watching him when he does the Monday headlines, so funny

I can't believe nobody's posted about Jay's forced retirement in 5 years! That's awful...we love you but...we don't want to lose Conan...jeez that sucks...honestly, I love Conan and all, but I just can't see him hosting the Tonight Show...he's a lil' too hyper...both Jay and Dave can have serious talks with guests...Conan is too pressed to find the funny in a conversation.

He was forced to retire? Why?

Conan O'Brien's contract with NBC will be expiring in a few years...apparently it's known that Conan has been shopping around for another network (possibly earlier time). Therefore, TPTB at NBC had to make a decision -- lose Conan or knock Jay out by offering Conan the sweetest deal any talk show host would accept -- The Tonight Show -- therefore Conan wouldn't leave the network. Poor Jay gets railroaded out in 5 years with no choice. I love Jay Leno! I guess workplace politics happen in every company around the world...
