The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

Okay. Spread the Jon love.

You can see clips from the show here.

OMG! Back when we had a Requests board me and Caro totally whored the thread for this show and Jon. him.

I love this show, though I always forget about it when talking late night shows since it's on cable network, it seems kinda seperated from the other shows. But this is like up there with my love for Conan, majorly awesome.

Now this show I don't miss. I absolutely adore it. Indecision 2000 was hilarious. One of my favorites (if not the) is the bit on excecuting mentally challenged people. Tee!

I loved that. "Because if there's one thing we know about retarded people...it's that they're very, very cunning."

Or something along those lines.

I wish I could stay up late enough to watch this show because it is one of the hippest, smartest, funniest shows on television. And Jon Stewart is a totally cutie!

RBS722 12-06-2003 06:15 PM

This show is the best written, best hosted, wittiest late night talk show on television. Jon Stewart is a gem. He's funny, smart, and his interviews are interesting--they don't seem forced, scripted, or briefed (even though they probably are, all interviews are, sorry kiddies).

I love how he'll laugh in the middle of interviews and find his guests legitimately funny. That doesn't happen often.

Congrats to this show for their emmy win. They deserved it!

RBS722 12-28-2003 05:15 PM

Come on, don't tell me there aren't other Daily Show fans.

How, how how how how are there but seven posts on a thread dedicated to Jon Stewart! What the heck? This guy is amazing! This guy, I would, I would let this guy rule the world if I were in a position to let someone do that. He's funny and bright and witty and quick and always good with guests. I mean, he totally adjusts to whoever he has on and manages to make an interesting or respectful or hilarious show no matter what.

Phew. So I ranted. Sorry. But really, how much more entertaining can half an hour get?

Mysteria 03-11-2004 08:54 AM

Dude. I love Jon but I never get to watch. Bah. I'm always working or sleeping. I really aught to start setting the VCR more often.

But I'm about to catch a repeat so go me for being up for once!

Go you, indeed! Yeah I miss him way too often. It's always like, ten minutes before he starts, and I get excited, but then... Next time I look at the clock, I've missed him by a mile.

I've been going through the online interviews linked to at the top. They're brilliantly funny and addictive, too.

PirateOnWheels 04-01-2004 06:58 PM

So far I'm loving Indecision 2004. That skit with John Kerry on MTV and everything was so great.

Anabela 04-13-2004 04:24 AM

I really like Jon Stewart.

I didn't know they won an Emmy: that's great!

Bill Clinton's going to be on tomorrow night and I. Can't. Wait!

"You win when people think"

This interview was fabulous! I mean, I was already ready to like it considering it was Bill and Jon, but they were so smart and so right on. I watch them (together and separately) and they are so right on about everything. I wonder how anyone can be on the Bush/Cheney side.

coconutlime 08-10-2004 01:16 PM

I was really glad to hear Pres Clinton critizing McCain for not standing up to the vile Bush campaign in 2000.
