Episode 2.05: Good Run Of Bad Luck

From NBC:

Quote:
Good Run Of Bad Luck
9pm 2004-10-11
Danny left to care for a 8 month baby boy--Geroge Hamilton and Clint Black guest star--Danny (Josh Duhamel) agrees to help an ex-marine's wife out by caring for her 8 month baby boy while she attends an interview, but concern is raised when she doesn't return, leaving Danny to care for the child longer than anticipated. Meanwhile, Sam (Vanessa Marcil) hosts Bernard Taylor (guest star George Hamilton) who intentionally throws all of his money down the drain so his soon to be ex gets half of nothing in the divorce settlement. Elsewhere, Mary (Nikki Cox), Nessa (Marsha Thomason) and Delinda (Molly Sims) go in search of a hidden treasure in the desert and become stranded in the wild until Clint Black (as himself), who's staying near by, finds the girls and rescues them from their nightmare. James Caan and James Lesure also star.

Not one of my favorites. Did they forget that Danny and Mary are engaged?

I think it was better than the previous lobster episode lol. It was ok, but really I would have liked to see more drama about Danny and the marine's wife who died, and some interaction with Mary and Danny.

I did like the fact that Ed remembered that Danny had problems and brought up the fact Danny is seeing someone to talk to, and the little thing at the end with Danny and Ed in the father son type of talk was sweet.

I liked the funny things with Sam and the women in the desert was nice since they touched on Delinda and Nessa's childhood.

But yeah, they really need to stop glossing over big drama, it's a bit of a let down at times.

I did like all of the episodes, the lobster one being my least favorite, but they did act like the season opener didn't even happen, and that's not good writing..

Last night was a little step in the right direction though.

I liked Monday's episode, it was funny and I loved the girls being in the desert together. I also liked the mention of Danny getting help about his time being in Iraq. It's good to know that the writers haven't dropped that storyline. I'm a little upset that we had no Danny and Mary scenes. I really wish we would have at least had one scene with them. Maybe in the next episode.

I really liked the episode too. It was so sweet with that baby. He was so cute. I think the guys were really good with him too and it was funny when the baby peed on Ed.

Liked the stuff out in the desert with the girls too. How sneaky of Sam to have had the silver all along.
