Maxine is my favorite character on JA. My second favorite character is Amy. I'm surprised that there aren't more fans of Maxine.

I really like the character Maxine Gray. She does her job so well. It's interesting that Tyne Daly who is only 58 is playing a 65 year old. She and her character seem to have so much energy.

I know she was in Cagney & Lacey, but I don't remember the show. So I would say I have been a fan of hers since Judging Amy. Something about her character seems so inspiring to me. I find myself siding with Maixine more often than with Amy. Don't get me wrong, I like Amy, but I like Maxine more. I started watching Judging Amy halfway through. I guess you could say I jumped in feet first. The first two or three seasons I haven't seen, but I understand that it airs on TNT so maybe I can catch up. I wonder how much of the episodes are cut, since it's syndication?
I live in the US and enjoy mostly sitcom comedies. I do like a few dramas. Ok, I guess I should post about myself in the introduction thread. I came across this site after doing a search for Judging Amy sites. I hope my experience here is fun. I posted on another board asking a question about Judging Amy and for some reason it banned me. That was my first and only post. I missed an episode last season and so asked about it. So I hope that questions are ok here. |

 You can't possibly love every character on the show or even if you do, it's natural to like some more than others. Second of all, questions are also fine I think we have a thread here for episode related questions and one for any question that doesn't fit in the other threads. Just take a look around and I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for or someone who can help you out. We just have a few rules here - there's a rules thread on the top of the board, but really the quintessence is - don't be rude to other people and don't advertise other messageboards or websites that are not your own. And that's basically it. We don't tend to ban people here. So no worries. I also hope that you have a fun experience at the board and if you have any concerns or questions don't hesitate to send me or my co-mod Brienchen Private Message. And yeah Cagney and Lacey - my father used to watch this along with Kojak, so I knew Tyne since then. Mirwal - the attachment function was disabled by the admins. I hope she talks about the show. I hate when they do interviews and talk about everything but the one thing most people are watching to hear about.
