I am sooo out of original ideas. I think I started to really appreciate him after watching 'Luck of the Irish' on Disney, then flipping to Judging Amy. His storylines are small, or hilarious, but he kicks butt.

on sean - sometimes i wonder whether he's the boss or maxine. i like that they became such good friends, but still he seems to rely on maxine's judgment a little too much. talking about that: how come they kept kimberly (the social worker from hell)? did she threaten sean to sue?

On Sean -
I don't think it's so much who's boss, it's more like he is really aware of the fact that Maxine has a few more years on her, chances are good her hunches are right. And he has respect for her, and that's obvious. I loved how he ran to their house , actually driving Maxine, I think, when Jared had disappeared in China, the first time. And how he was there for her when he died.

I don't even remeber that storyline. You're making me look REALLY bad here, Nikki!

i totally get what you're saying by maxine being more experienced - still i think sean should learn to rely on his own instincts a bit more. if he had done that he could've been a better father figure for eric, IMO.

kimberly fallon (or as i call her: the social worker from hell), is played by alice eden dodd. she's the one who always claims to be too busy to actually care about the children she is working for. so far she has been in 4x23: "Marry, Marry Quite Contrary" , 4x21: "Picture of Perfect", 4x15: "Maxine Interrupted" , 4x10: "People of the Lie", 4x08: "A Pretty Good Day", 4x01: "Lost in the System" , 3x20: "The Bottle Show", 3x19: "Men Aren't Monsters", 3x10: "Beating the Bounds", 3x07: "Imbroglio", 3x02: "Off the Grid" and 3x01: "The Last Word".

i remember sean wanted to fire kimberly after being sick of playing mediator and being torn between her and maxine. but i don't remember who that turned out.

I totally get what you're saying by maxine being more experienced - still i think sean should learn to rely on his own instincts a bit more. if he had done that he could've been a better father figure for eric, IMO.

I think if they did better writing, we would see the roots of why Sean is in social work in the first place. I don't think it's more of him being wimpy. I think it's mostly alot about he's...she's his mentor. There are times when Sean has stepped up, mostly when something has happened, and Maxine is just speechless.It's rare, but it does happen. I think he's just really letting her shine...because she's alot stronger. Sure, I'd love to see him speak up and all, but I think he's still learning alot more before he can be confident.

i just found out that Tim is part of the main cast of "Deadwood" a new HBO series. i hope that doesn't mean he won't be doing JA anymore. though he might be able to schedule, since HBO series have only 13 episodes per season.

here's what i found on the show:

HBO has ordered 13 episodes of Deadwood, a new Western drama created by David Milch (NYPD Blue, Hill Street Blues). The series will combine fictional and real-life characters from the post Civil war era and will begin in 1876, ten weeks after Custer was defeated at Little Big Horn. Production on the series will begin in Spring and the series is likely to premiere early in 2004. Cast: Dan Hildebrand - Tim Driscoll Ian McShane - Al Swearengen Timothy Olyphant - Seth Bullock Timothy Omundson - Brom Garrett Molly Parker - Alma Garret

Thanks for letting me know. I agree on the Maxine/Shawn relationship theory. I always wondered about those two. I guess he's too young for Maxine, but it's still kind of cute how they interact with each other.
