I'm going to this thread, because I'm planing on watching the final episode today. S8 was good overall, but not as great as the other season. Actually, my favorite seasons are S4, S5, S6, and S8. The final episode was amazing, but there were some little things that I would have changed. But it was a great episode otherwise. The main reason why I want to watch the final episode is because I want to see Chris again.

the last episode is very sentimental in a lot of ways.

Overall, I liked the season moreso than the previous one. I'm in the minority, but I really did get into the Billie/Christy plotline. I think the only real complaint that I had was the closing out in the finale without very much done in the way of honoring Prue. It's sucked that SD couldn't/wouldn't come back for a guest appearance - I think it would have provided some closure and given the sisters a chance to see Prue doing fine in the afterlife. And, an official Prue/Paige meeting face to face.

I would have wanted that honoring and meeting too. That would have been a fair and also a real final goodbye to all the shows prominent characters.

Exactly. Even if it was just a small role/appearance - the acknowledgment is what I was mostly looking for. I was worried that I wasn't going to get it on another show I currently watch - they're wrapping up with their final season this year and they brought back alot of the old characters for a final nod to the series. I was worried my 'favorite' wouldn't get honored this time either (since she was an unpopular character) but fortunately for me, I learnt that won't be the case. She's coming back too.

I think the one thing I wasn't expecting for S8 was for Billie to end up so alone. I mean, her parents dying too? Yikes.

I would've like more of an honoring of Prue as well, but at least they did mention her, which I thought was nice. Season 8 overall is not one of my favorite seasons. They were some good episodes (mostly toward the end), but my main complaint was that you could really see that the budget got cut. The special effects were horrible, but I guess they made due with what they could. Although the Billie/Christy storyline was interesting, I was upset at the fact that it was predominately what the season was focused on. Given that this was the last season, I wanted it to be more about the sisters. All-in-all, it's not my least favorite, but it's definitely not my most favorite.

I definitely agree but I think I started to see evidence of that way before S8. The cut in budget started to become very obvious to me in most of the latter seasons. Everything was onset - there were hardly, if any, off location shoots. The earlier seasons had the better budget, IMO.

The Billie/Christy drama was definitely used to set up the BIG bad for the final season and have the ultimate betrayal come from someone they considered a close family friend and trusted. I know one of the big complaints was the lack of sister dynamic; however, I won't lie - it was tired out for me by S7 b/c I know I felt very bored. And, I could just be biased, but b/c I preferred the Prue/Piper/Phoebe dynamic from the earlier seasons (along with more of the drama) - that could have effected my overall enjoyment as well.

S 1-3 are my favorite; however, #8 is up there for me with #4 and I was okay with #6. Numbers #5 and #7 are my least favorite.
