They did. Plus, I liked the actor who played Kyle. From the off and on episodes I've watched of Dawson's Creek.
Also, Kyle seemed to be a more flawed, fleshed out character than the others. __________________

I liked him being gay
 He and Jen had a deep, soulmate, non physical friendship. Like Will and Grace  I hated the Avatar storyline as well, it was stupid, but I liked Kyle. His and Paige's relationship, Drake, and the episode with Cole were the only good things to come out of the last two seasons. __________________

I think that episode, and the mirroring, was when I started liking them together. Paige and Kyle had a deeper connection, something in common, than any of her other boyfriends. __________________
