| What if God was one of us... I made this Thread because every week I always think, "What if God was one Of us? Walking around like an everyday kind of guy." | I think about this sometimes. And I think of all the 'cooks' that see Jesus' face in a pie or something...Mostly, I have heard that people have seen the Virgin Mary. I don't know if I believe that, but who's to say. I mean, when people say they talk to God, the answer is, "Doesn't everyone?" but when people say "He answers back" we want to put them in a straight jacket. | Master Fan  | I tend to approach it a bit differently myself. I dunno. To me, God being "one of us"... It means that there is divine presence in all our lives. Miracles every day. I don't really think in terms of a Dude up there who comes down and visits once in a while. Sorry, but every time I read the title it really gets the song stuck in my head. When I think of "What if God were one of us?" I think of 1 of 2 things: 1) we are to treat everyone as if they were God, special, because we don't know if God could be one of us. For example, Jesus. When he came to Earth, many didn't even realize who He was, and treated him with disdain, resentment, hatred, and eventually put him to death. Would we treat our God that way today? I'd hope not. 2) I think we meet versions of God/Angels often and don't realize it. Almost like God's precense in JoA. But I don't want to get into this without sounding crazy. __________________ in my head there's only you now | |||
