Reasons why we love him? Because he's a "good guy"... remember? Saved Adam's life and all.

I firmly stand, until answers are given, that Ryan was just like Joan. Someone that God approached one day to establish a "connection" but due to time or what not, Ryan practices his free will and says "No" to God. Joan hasn't been able to turn her back on him... well, maybe a bit during her summer hiatus but in the end, she opened herself up again.

Which is why I not only think they'd make good opponents, but also a good team. But that's for another issue altogether.

And because I'm a bit superficial and shallow, I'd actually fall off my chair in shock if Season Three provides a scene between God (Kris Lemche version), Joan and Ryan.

Anyone seen any other works Wentworth has done? Loved him in the Hallmark mini-series "Dinotopia." He actually played a sweet guy, yet with a tinge, a hint, of being a jerk. Good mixture by the way. I was shipping his character, David, with the leading lady, Marion.

I've yet to see "The Human Stain" but I have it on my Netflix queue ASAP. I've seen him on Popular and recently I've seen/downloaded both Mariah Carey videos he was in.

Saw The Human Stain with Nicole Kidman and Anthony Hopkins. Wentworth was in it playing the younger version of Anthony Hopkins's character. I had a somewhat similar reaction when I saw Kris Lemche in Johnny. As interesting a premise it was, I was more interested in the scenes involving Gary Sinise and Hopkins rather than the relationship between Kidman and Hopkins' characters. Oh, and of course the backstory that involved Wentworth. Thought highly of that character development.

I've thought exactly the same when I saw The Human Stain. I rent the video after SWTWC. I was highly interested to see more of WM acting's skills. He was good in The Humain Stain. Really.

I also one of Mariah Carey's new videos with WM playing in it. Jeez !! I laughed so much when I saw the ending scene. Mariah was wearing a wedding dress with a very, very long train. So long in fact when she was in the convertible car, the train of her dress was trailing far behind the car ... I thought that maybe the motel shouldn't be far because no way they could go far away with this dress train.

Ryan Hunter

I like the idea of Ryan being a God talker who choose to use his free will to say "no" to God and also used all his knowledge and experiences to his own advantage.

I found this quote somewhere. It's an interesting thought. What do you think about it ?

I'm also wondering what the exact nature of the relationship is between God and Ryan. The way Ryan told it, it seems that he was kind of like Joan to God, until he turned his back on Him. But why would God choose to reveal Himself to someone that he knew would ultimately betray him? I mean, didn't God *know* that Ryan wasn't the best of choices? Or was He just giving him enough rope to hang himself? So that Ryan couldn't argue that he wasn't given a chance, come Judgment Day or whatever?
