| Aw, I haven't been here in so long, but I still adore Cute Boy God. I was (im)patiently waiting during last week's episode for his appearance and definitely wasn't disappointed. A big part of me wants to ship Joan/CBG. The chemistry between Kris and Amber is just that good. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] I might be a little biased though, considering I was a fan of both pre-JoA. If only the CBG form could also be a Real Boy... | |||

| Kris in his CBG role had some great lines... was involved in some great dialogue actually. In Pilot: Basically every ounce of dialogue he had w/ Amber/Joan. I'm not at all particular [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] In Touch Move: ~~~ Joan: What are you doing here? You're not even supposed to be in here. CBG: (while looking at science magazine) And yet I am. (looks at Joan) Walk w/ me. Joan: No! People are going to see me. CBG: Yes, they will. (glances back at magazine) That optic nerve was an inspired idea. Joan: I meant that they'll see you. CBG: Yeah, I noticed that this look turns a lot of heads. Joan: It's called being 'hot.' ~~ cha... see... I've rewatched that scene a million times enough to memorize the damn thing! [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] In Death Be not whatever: Again, his whole scene... loved how he displayed the pain in his eyes IMO over knowing how much anger/pain Joan was over the issue of death. Kudos to Kris Lemche! In Recreation: cha... again, his whole scene! I mean, even his nonverbal acting. As soon as the camera follows Chris/Adam, you notice Kris/CBG leaning against the column, walks past Adam, turns briefly to watch Adam before going to where Amber/Joan was. Then CBG: Wanna dance? Joan: Can I say no? CBG: Sure you can (grabs cups from her) Come on. I just loved how soft his voice was when he said "Come on." Then the whole CBG: (pauses then) Adam is confused. Joan: Adam is always confused. CBG: (chuckles) Yeah, well, you're introducing new levels of confusion. ~~~ No one could have asked for a better actor to be CBG! | What kills me is that I hear about how great Kris was in "Death be Not Whatever" but I'm a late JoA fan and have yet to see the episode. I've read recaps and looked at screencaps BUT its not the same. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] It's funny... everytime I say his full name, I keep on pronouncing "Lemche" as "Lem-chee" and not "Lem-key" like how it's really pronounced! So now whenever I try to explain my JoA crazyness to someone, I say "The actor that plays Cuteboy God, his name is Kris w/ a K." I haven't seen Ginger Snaps yet [img]smilies/pout.gif[/img] But I just ordered it and Joan of Arc on DVD at Amazon so soon enough... and if I don't like it, which is highly unlikely b/c 1. | I have this 80% feeling that I will... call me crazy, but I just have this feeling that I'll like Ginger Snaps. I decided to try and listen to the directors commentary to Knockaround Guys... just to see what they'd say about Kris. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] Seems like Dov Tiefenbach (Teeze) pulled a scam on the directors just to get Kris (Decker) into the movie. Dov had met Kris, befriended him, and started rehearsing the scene together until they got it perfect. The Directors were already set to hire Dov (just b/c they liked him) and so whenever Dov would act, in front of the directors, with the other actors, he'd purposely suck! And when Dov started acting w/ Kris, they nailed it perfectly [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] The directors wanted to strangle them... they said that Dov and Kris got so into their roles, they became the pain in the asses on & off set.
