| Master Fan   | I think the great think about Grace, in the end, is her refusal to conform. In that way, she's very much a symbol of this whole show. It's a show about spirituality that won't ascribe to one particular religion. A show with God... but where God is an actual character. That can be questioned (even if he/she really never does answer!) and ignored... to some degree. As much as you can ignore someone who will always be right. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] I think the genius of having a character like Grace on this is that she invites the kind of questioning that Joan may some day stop doing. I mean, when you've got God talking to you, you can't exactly not believe in him or her, right? | Master Fan | That's not always a good thing, stealing people's names. Me, I either have a drunk guy on Third Watch or a very sweet but ultimately clueless girl on Angel. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] But Grace definetly does rock. It was awesome to see her corner her own self into showing up at that dance and kissing Luke. Because, let's face it, Friedman really isn't that great an opponent in the 'wit' department. Grace could run circles around him any day of the week. So, why she didn't this time, I don't know. I'm hoping the writers go for "she secretly likes Luke" rather than Plot Contrivance. Either way, it was pretty cool seeing her interacting with Luke on the science project. And it was a hoot to see her show up in a dress.
