Not a bad start to the season tbh. Two solid episodes. With Trademark Cringe lol. Lilis outfits clearly exceeding the seasons budget. I can see a feud ensuing between Archie and Reggie. Obviously Veronica being The Basis. My fav moment was between FP and Jughead. “Boy you better not be drinking!” *pours drink out*. Jughead at prep school be interesting. Good to see him pursuing his writing. Good to see Betty so supportive. Sounds crazy but I wouldn’t mind This new character at prep school take an interest in Jughead. Nothing too extensive. But Bughead are pretty stable. So I think it would be good too see them squirm a bit. Don’t want to get too complacent.

Yeah, that moment was great. I think what stood out the most about Jughead at prep school was that his Grandpa Jones went there for a couple of months then dropped out. I also think Mr. Chippling really wanted Jughead cause of his Grandpa and the same with the flashforwards with Jughead MIA.

Unfortunately I see this prep school as a not so great thing. Not sure what will happen but with Jughead’s Grandfather just disappearing (according to FP) and both Mr. Honey and Mr. Chipping together in that scene... I think it spells trouble.

I think the prep school, and Jughead's Grandpa are tied to the flashforwards. Also what's been revealed so far about his Grandpa makes me wonder about an old theory about the Joneses that they were originally rich, maybe the true founders of Riverdale and the Blossoms/Lodges stole it from them.

A bit of a slower episode but I actually liked it. Sad seeing Kevin go through all this trauma but I'm so freaking happy the Betty/Kevin friendship is actually getting acknowledged. Seeing Betty interact with Charles is interesting too. Cheryl remains the Queen of the show and loved seeing her be the HBIC. The Varchie/Bughead sex scenes made me cringe so much though. These are teens and the show basically made it seem like one big orgy. Glad Reggie actually got an actual storyline this episode. Happy to see him and Archie be friends again, especially after last season's awkward love triangle. Jughead's new school storyline seems cool but knowing Riverdale it will probably lead to more drama because no one on this show can actually live a normal life. Still super curious about why Jug is missing but there seems to be lots of theories going around so I can't wait to see how it plays out.

There is always a lot going on with a lot of storylines but I prefer these storylines to last year. All of this stuff seems normal ish and tame. I hope the writers listened to the criticism from last season about how over the top the storylines got and is going to tame things down a bit.

I agree about the duo sex scene. lol. I am okay with the sex scenes but like, that was untasteful lol. Felt very orgy-isha and weird. And the day before school starts? haha. But at least bughead got a sexy moment.

I like that we are seeing Reggie's father because I always enjoy some back story but he's a little bit extreme. Another jerky father in Riverdale? Great. I did love the Reggie/Archie scene though and how they talked about Fred too. Vandalizing the car was ridic though. Reggie is way bigger than his dad, can't he just fight back? The ending bit when he said he and his dad talked was weird tho... is it really that easy?

Cheryl and keeping JJ or whatever is really weird.

I like mad dog. I am glad he is at the school now. And those abs boy damn.

This Charles thing is weird. Betty and Jughead aren't even acting like he is related to them lol. Are they gonna talk about that at all or what? And where the heck is Alice? (Charles is kinda hot tho)

FP coming to bust the party was so funny and I love that he told Jughead not to drink and Jughead dumped it lol. Jughead going to his new school is a bit much imo, I dont think we needed that extra storyline right now and thats not going to go well for him. His grandpa disappeared fro there and FP didnt think it was strange? lol.

The new principal is interesting but I like Kerr Smith. I wonder what his whole role is going to be.

Not a lot to say about Veronica and dealing with her family drama. Meh. I did not enjoy the performance to al that jazz. I love Camila but girl you are not a dancer lol. Veronica Gomez, idk about that.

Kevin is weird, the whole thing with Fangs was weird too. I did like his interactions with Betty but they kinda ruined his character for me. At least he was helpful the end tho.

I keep forgetting to say this but I think there's more to Grandpa Jones leaving FP than just he went out for a pack of smokes, and never came back. I also think Grandpa Jones BFF, and Girlfriend was Grandpa Andrews and Grandma Smith.

Well, I think Alexa summed it up with all the weirdness going on again in Riverdale. So first, how did Veronica have enough time to study to get into Harvard? I mean, I suppose she could have had her parents bribe Harvard if they could afford to, but I don't think that's what happened here & I will point that I don't even recall at all hearing Veronica ever talk about how important her grades are & getting into Harvard or whatever Ivy League school she apparently wants to get into. That began I think the strangeness of this episode.


Moving onto Riverdale's new principle. OK. Great that Kerr Smith I believe his name is for getting a new gig, but geez his character quite frankly has already acted like he wants his car keyed. Now of course that's from what I know is a crime, but geez it really should not be too much to ask for new damn characters particularly adults in authority to show some respect for others. He was rude & just ugh.

My next question is, why would the F.B.I. let a witness of theirs be found out by a small town teen still? But, later I think it was mentioned that Betty got Kevin involved with the F.B.I. Will someone clarify this for me. It's still odd, since they are teens still. How many people do any of you know that knew a Fed while they were in high school?

Now, perhaps the most frustrating part of this episode was all of a sudden we learn & Archie does that Reggie's dad hits him. OK. Why wasn't this mentioned sooner, since it has been happening for a while? Seems like Archie would've noticed or someone else in a previous season/year. Then we see Reggie's dad & considering that Reggie is quite bigger than his dad at least through my eyes, plus Reggie could be considered a bully or jerk by I wonder why he let his dad hit him without fighting back. Just seems odd, considering how tough Reggie acts. He could've also have gone to FP I think if he didn't want to fight his dad, but instead he took a baseball bat to his dad's car with Archie watching? What on Earth?

Finally, I guess it's good that even though FP's dad left him while he was a child without telling him he wouldn't return that FP still had kids. I don't have kids & that right there I think would've been enough for to pass on having kids, but FP still had 2 of them & well 1 we rarely see & the other is at least nice to people.
