Well, when she comes back, she and FP can finally talk openly and frankly about their relationship and settle all differences and officially be a couple and let everyone know. That they live together and can experience a married life, for when they make it official (that FP can divorce Gladys - that if she returns, FP can face her and Alice too). That they can build a relationship with their son Charles and that they may have opportunities to work together. That FP can try to have a relationship with Polly and Alice with JBean, since with Betty and Jughead we already know how it is, but that can improve what already exists. And it would be interesting to see FP and Alice take care of the twins and know what it would be like to raise a child together. That they have breakfasts, lunches, diners, and parties where they can have all their children together.
Speaking in the professional field, with FP as Sherrif and Alice as a reporter they may have a chance to work together investigating and may have opportunities where there are conflicts where FP can't comment on cases with Alice and Alice investigating things where she doesn't tell FP, but in the end they can balance and resolve situations.
And finally, lots of loving, domestic, affectionate, heated scenes and lots of kisses.
