I know what you mean Bee. I only knew him as this little Dinsey kid and I was wondering if he could pull it off. He proved us all wrong cause he is amazing and my absolute fave on this show.

I just watched the promo for next week and I can't wait. All about Juggy and we might know more about his past.

I don't normally like Disney stuff or Disney actors, but he's really hot. He's an amazing actor and no one else could have made Jughead this hot or cool.

Exactly. It probably doesn't help that Disney live action is usually cheesy as hell and the actors always need to be over the top...and then you see them further down the road and it's like wow. Definitely glad they cast Cole in this role because I don't think anybody else could do this good of a job, it's like he was meant to play Jughead.

I'm so anxious for the next episode...it's looking very Jughead centric.

I think originally Cole was going to audition for Archie, but when he saw in the script that Jughead was the narrator, and kinda like this observer character he decided to audition for Jughead. Plus I could be wrong but I think he said he found Jughead to be the more interesting character.

Cole really does fit the jughead character and it seems hes done his homework and really puts a lot into the role. He's great.

Cole as Archie would have been weird and it would have been harder for me to be sympathetic towards the Archie character had Cole played him I think. Beuacse I think cole does have this twinge of edginess to him, which is great for Jughead, and not so great for Archie.

I know people dont agree but i think KJ does a great job as a Archie, I dont find him to be this unlikable playboy like how the comics possible portray, I find KJ to be more endearing and lovable. But maybe thats just me.

^Yes to this. KJ has this warmth that we see in Archie. I doubt I'll like Archie too much if Cole was playing him either.

Cole's personality is sorta imbued into Jughead as a character. He balances Jughead's quirks and 'sardonic side' nicely, which is why it works so well. Cole IS the perfect Jughead of 'Riverdale'.

I agree with you both. Cole's Archie would have been a completely different character. Jughead is a much better fit for him.

(Plus on a shallow note the dark hair suits him...who knows about red.)

Wouldn't surprise me becasue he's the most interesting male character on the show, Archie is a bit too cookie-cutter for my taste.

I would hope so. There are a zillion trillion heterosexual white pairings on TV but it's the CW so.

Bughead won't last so I hope rather than putting him with other love interest they would explore that.

Thr CW is why I doubt they'll explore it. They are already queerbaiting with Veronica/Betty, so I'll keep my hopes for a well written asexual arc low.
