Cause Fred is the type of character that usually gets killed off in stories. You know the protagonist father/mentor who's enemies with the main villain and is beloved by the fandom.

Here are 2 new things to add to Fred possible getting killed off. 3x03. Archie got advance from a dream-Fred. 3x04 the similarities between young Fred and Archie were spot on, and what made young Fred into who he is now was his Dad's death/not being there to say goodbye.

Another thing. In 3x04 young Fred was the only one who lost a parent. Plus young Fred got the drugs that made him high from young Hiram, and in the end young Hermione choose young Hiram over young Fred. It's like when Fred's happy, Hiram always ends up finding a way to take it away from him.
