Haha, I know that. I'm really not invested in any relationships. I liked Hannah and Caleb at first but they became boring really fast and I was like rooting for Spencer to come in between them because it added at least some drama.

I hope we'll get at least a scene in tonight's episode.

There was definitely a reaction in that video. She was realising what was going on. Though it was to be seen whether she was just because she wasn't told, or jealousy.

But I guess she's saying no jealousy?

WTF. I haven't watched the ep yet.. I'm in no hurry.. but seriously that reaction was about them working with her mum? That makes no sense.

I'm not even saying I needed her to be jealous, it's actually better all round if she's not, (and they can build them up later) though they should have addressed Betty's feelings for Archie and moving on to Jughead fairly fast like 5 episodes ago. But I at least thought that reaction would be her being annoyed they kept their relationship from her. How exactly was watching them sing together some magical moment for her to figure out what they were doing?

I just.. JFC. This reeks of them intentionally doing this so they could put it out as a promo and get people worried that Betty was jealous. And I don't like it.

We did get one tiny moment when Betty was teasing Archie about his music not being fun enough for a dance, which was cute.

Agreed. But anyway, Betty's completely over it, because apparently she loves Jughead and he's her family now. Okay then.

I just don't understand why they even talk about the triangles (be it BAV or ABJ) in interviews, when we're the side of it that always gets shafted

That was not a romantic moment but rather a friend dismissing her friend's vocal skills and talent that he requested to bring to the dance.

Moving on, I am appalled and devastated right now. In episode one of this season, the writing seemed to imply that Elizabeth and Archibald would be the central focus of this show. The token character Kevin Keller acted as a foreshadow of some sort by telling the new girl Veronica Lodge that these two are "Endgame"

As the episodes went by, more and more was this relationship fading away as if it never happened. We have been tricked by executive producers and directors. We were manipulated and lied to by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, because he loves Forsythe Pendleton the III too much and let his favouritism take over the show, thus affecting Elizabeth Cooper who declared her love for him.

I was so disgusted by this betrayal of following the comics, and it is clear that Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa wants to brainwash viewers into supporting Forsythe Pendleton the III the most. All I have to say to him is, congratulations. You won. I am much too invested in the show to quit right now. Feel free to contact me in the "Boyfriend and Girlfriend" thread for Elizabeth and Forsythe, since this is the only relationship that Roberto wants I have no choice but to conform so that the show can get renewed again next year.

Hi guys...like all of you I am dissapointed too. This show just loves to bait and unfortunately I got suckered into it. Not just the whole jealous Betty which turned out to be not true, but the how the whole show seemed like it was BAV triangle in the beginning. I dont think Barchie is going to happen now, not even the next season. It kinda sucks that this show doesnt even pay homage to the classic triangle and tropes from the comics and instead just panders to the tween audience. Maybe i will tune in to the next reincarnation of the Archie franchise, but this version is not something I can get on board with. And the heck, they made KJ Apa do a chemistry read with Lili.It was supposedly amazing, so amazing that Lili rooted for KJ to be cast. And we all saw that chemistry in the first two episodes. And then it turns into zilch?? Bah.
Also, the show has terrible editing. Just, awful editing. Everything seems so rushed. Makes me think that they do last minute edits to focus more on popular ships and characters. Smh.

I never said it was romantic - this show clearly doesn't want to give us scenes of that nature, anyway. And I didn't really see it as being dismissive of his talent, just that she thought Archie's songs tended to be less upbeat. JMO

Agreed though, with your comments about how it feels like we're being brainwashed into rooting for that one character/couple over the others. Which is a shame, since I'm personally not feeling it and I won't give in.

Show's seem to grow and change from their Pilot to what they are now. Glad that these two are still good friends though

Its a journey. They'll come back to them Betty and Archie just aren't right for one another YET, they will be, just a matter of when. They need to grow and get to the place where they need to be.
