Since Madchen has said Alice is based off of Carolyn from American Beauty. I thought this part of the character analysis was interesting.

After reading the interviews where Madchen talked about why Hal&Alice got together. I wonder if when Hal&Alice got together, they didn't know she was pregnant with FP's baby, and when they did, he told her to abort the baby or he wouldn't marry her.

I’d like to think that didn’t happen since at some point I’d guess Hal loved her more than that. But if you mean he asked her that before he fell in love with her than I’d wonder why she thought marrying him would be best.

I doubt this show needs anymore skeletons in anyone’s closet though. I’d be impressed with Alice if for some reason that did happen & she was bitter for all these years so she had plotted with Chic long before he came to Riverdale to come visit someday & act how he does to piss off Hal.

You never know, shows find ways to surprise you sometimes. I'm sure there is some more skeletons in someone's closet at that point in the show.

Well, I think Madchen said there was a deleted scene where Alice told Betty, Hal came along and gave her the opportunity/meal-ticket out of the Southside. And in another interview, she said FP was probably Alice's first boyfriend.
