Surprisingly I actually enjoyed the episode and looking forward to the season finale next week. :)

So essentially Betty rejects Archie. As she loves Jughead. Well we all had a feeling. When It came down to it, she'll pick Jughead. Be interesting in season final. When it all comes out, and payoff be the falling out of the core 4.

I am glad she picked jughead but the group will break

IDK, all the dumb forced Barchie flashbacks make me feel like the show isn't done there. They are trying to show how meaningful they are (which is silly because they've literally barely interacted over 4 years but alas) and i feel like they might come back in season 5 and continue that SL.

I did like Cheryl telling Betty that Archie was a fantasy though and I have to agree, It feels like when things get too hard she wants to run back to Archie when things were simpler. But who the heck knows where they are gonna go with this.

Yeah maybe. But most of those Barchie seeds get drowned out by how obvious Jughead is established as Betty's endgame. So I agree its a forced story arch. So I tend to agree. They may address that Storyline in the future. But its clear Jughead well be the one she chooses. Always.

Interesting you reference Cheryl telling Betty that Archie is a fantasy. As in a way it parallels another popular teen drama. Dawsons Creek. I see alot of similarities between Betty and Archie. And Dawson and Joey. Likewise between Bughead and Joey and Pacey.

I dont really see the DC pairings as similar. I see what you mean about the best friends thing but at least DJo were close through the years, B/A have barely been close at all! And DJ always had that backstory so throwing them into the mix wasnt unrealistic. In this case, BA havent had romantic moments in 4 years! They literally have to use flashbacks from the pilot and then make up new ones to create a backstory.
