Just started watching.

Okay, I liked it. I wish there was more Bughead, but I loved the motorcycle scene. Archie and Veronica got a lot of screen time. I loved the shower scene, the hospital scene, she is such a great girlfriend. Hiram is back, oh boy. Veronica kind of standing up to her dad was good. I can't stand her mother. I really think he is behind the shooting.

Loved hearing Pop talk. I want to know who the shooter is.

Archie was enjoyable this episode. I didn't even mind his mom showing up.

Kevin and Betty.. They are perfection.

The pussycats scene was kind of weird for me. It didn't fit. Valerie should have at least had some sort of private moment with Archie.

Freds dreams where interesting. Glad he pulled though.

Snap, the end.. Grundy... Still molesting her time away. Loved her ending. Best ending of the series so far.

Fantastic premiere! So excited to have the show back and see where this season takes us...

I love seeing this side to Archie because it finally gives him more depth. I bet KJ was glad to see these scripts. His acting was so much better than last season already. I definitely like this darker Archie. He’s hot.

The dream sequences seemed a bit strange to me. They just sort of seemed like a waste of time. But I guess they wanted to include Fred in the episode. I found it weird they included an Archie/Veronica proposal scene and wedding scene. It just seemed random but whatever, Fred is a VA fan so yay! The wedding was so weird. What was with the kilts? Just because they are Irish? I cannot. And why did Fred see Jason, and why did Mary wink at him? I am so confused if this is supposed to tie together or if it was just a random ass dream. I did like seeing Mary back at the end to support her family.

The Jughead and Archie moments this episode were sweet. I loved when Jughead called him a superhero. What a sweetheart. Also when Jughead offered to go to questioning with him. And the hug.

Jughead and Betty were minimal this episode but they were still adorable. I loved their little flirtation moment before she got on the bike with him. I am glad they talked about the serpent jacket though. This whole thing might cause major problems for J/B. Their final scene was great though, what a sweet kiss. Wish it was longer though. Poor Jughead dealing with those crazy serpents at his house. I don’t want him to get involved in all of this mess.

I enjoyed the Kevin and Betty conversations because we haven’t seen them interact as much as in the beginning of the season. It was cute that Betty confided in Kevin that bughead shared I love you’s.

Don’t why know they felt the need to bring in the pussycats for one measly scene. I appreciated their support but they could have waited to bring them into a bigger storyline in an episode or two.

Veronica trying to be a good girlfriend to Archie was absolutely adorable. Even though walking the dog scene was strange considering the circumstances, I loved that Archie opened up to Veronica. I felt the shower scene was a tad unnecessary because there is other things going on, but these two have already been sexually active with one another so I didnt find it completely unrealistic. It was definitely hot to watch from a biased shipper perspective but storyline wise sure they could have probably skipped it. lol. I think I would have preferred a more emotional/intense sexual moment rather than that but still… I feel like it was Veronica’s way of trying to help because she felt like that was easy for her to do, be there for him in that sort of way.

It was hard to watch Archie yell at Veronica but it’s understandable with what he is going through. I really liked that scene though. I loved the angst and I love that Veronica told him no, she wasn’t leaving, and she came back and stayed with him. HIS TEAR! Crying on her shoulder!!!! SO ADORABLE. I love how much depth their relationship has. The haters can say what they want. These two are special. I also loved their conversation at the hospital when Archie called her the best girlfriend and said he didn’t deserve her. Then when he told his dad about Veronica and how crazy he is about her.

Wow @ Veronica accusing her mother of murder. That was a bit much. I don’t blame Hermione for telling Veronica to get back in line but I felt like they took her rudeness a bit far. I never got that vibe from her last season. And the fact that she is now pretending to all about Hiram annoys me. The ending scene with Hiram finally showed up.. wow. The dude just looked creepy. (But Hot AF) I think that’s gonna be a fun storyline to see play out.

Cheryl’s story felt a bit plopped in there with everything else happening. Cheryl is 100% a nutcase. But it intrigues me. I want to know what really happened in the barn with her father. But I did like seeing Cheryl stand up for herself against their emotional abuse. We’ll just have to see if it makes her stronger or not. The Cheryl/Archie/Fred scene was just weird.

I loved the group coming together for Archie and the little Betty/Veronica handhold was super cute. I also loved the little head lean. Still hoping we get more for them this season. The core 4 scene at the end was amazing too. It’s sad that Archie froze and then almost let the guy shoot him. But he shouldn’t have beaten himself up for it. It might have saved his life. And it was a scary moment. Archie could have been shot but he wasn’t so he shouldn’t be worried about the killer coming back for him.

So the guy that shot Fred didn’t rob Pop’s. He clearly came for Fred it seemed. Or maybe Archie. Hiram definitely seems like the most likely suspect but that would be too obvious. The guy in the hood did look like Betty’s father to me. The eyes kinda looked like the actor.

Ew @ Miss Grundy being creepy on the other side of town. Pedo bitch deserved to bite the dust, sorry not sorry. But I do wonder how she is involved in all of this besides her obvious affair with Archie. Maybe this guy is Mary’s new boyfriend or something and hes trying to kill Fred out of the picture and then kill Grundy for what she did to Archie? Nah, that’d be too basic. LMAO.

- I too enjoyed seeing Pops talk.
- I am with Betty on this, since when did Jughead learn how to ride a motorcycle? LMAO.
- I found it strange that Betty told her mom that she almost had sex with judghead. And since when did her mom start disliking him? I thought she liked him?

Riverdale, like Supergirl, came back better, with the perfect mix of teen drama, crazy angst, mystery, and danger, and I can't wait to see where we're headed next.

Others' mileage may vary, but I love the character of Archie on this show, and so having him ultimately be the "target by proxy" of this Angel of Death serial killer makes me all the more interested because it gives the writers lots of opportunities to explore his character in ways they couldn't in Season 1.

I also continue to love Betty, Jughead, Veronica, and Cheryl, and can't wait to see what the future holds for them. I'm also interested in seeing how Hiram will ultimately fit into the chaos storm that is Riverdale.

As much as I know other people hated and were creeped out by the Grundy/Archie thing, I never had much of a problem with it and actually liked what little we saw of her in Season 1, so seeing her get murdered made me a bit sad.

Overall, I really enjoyed the premiere, which I'm rating a 9.75, and can't wait to see where we're headed this season.

a little chaos

Amazing first episode!! KJ's acting was incredible, he's really gone up a level since last season, he acted his ass off the whole episode, and I'm also loving this side of Archie.

I loved the two cute Beronica moments, I NEED MORE THO, I'm starved when it comes to Beronica content, when are we gonna get a Beronica centric episode???

I'm really interested to see where they take these storyline's this season, this show just keeps getting better.

I'm absolutely LOVING Alice Cooper, she is everything, I never thought she would have turned into one of my fave characters on this show!

Also, Betty is officially my favourite.

I wonder if they're gonna stick with Bughead and Varchie throughout the show, cause I don't ship either (I've tried, but I just don't) I really need to find something to ship that is possible

the only thing that bugged me was when cheryl kissed fred's forehead she clearly left dark red lipstick on his head. archie talked to him for a few minutes then he woke up. then the lipstick was gone.

Well, Riverdale was pretty good. I'm just now watching the newest episode.

Thank God Fred is out of the woods. I'm glad he's on the road to recovery. But those weird moments he lived, was no joke. He's always going to be around to protect Archie. Archie definitely needs Fred. Fred is strong and I loved how he told Archie that he came back to protect him. I loved their father and son relationship. It's so genuine and true.

Archie was filled with guilt over not doing more when the guy in the hood put the gun to his head. I don't think he could have do anything in a situation liked that. He would have just gotten himself killed. I also loved the scene when he told Veronica, Betty, and Jughead back his reaction. Loved how they all comforted him.

Loved how everyone came together to support Archie and Fred.

Loved all the Archie and Veronica scenes. They had some sweet moments, hot ones, and some frustrating ones. Veronica was determined to stick by Archie's side. She wanted to be there for him even though she doesn't have much experience in that department.

Cheryl is a nutcase. The girl is truly off the deep end. I mean I don't feel bad for her mother, but the girl is insane. Loved the look on Betty and Jughead's face when Cheryl told them her version of what took place at Thornhill.

Of course Alice still has a problem with Betty and Jughead's relationship. The woman is never satisfied. Of course she blamed the Serpents for Fred's shooting.

Hermione is one mystery to me. I don't know if I can fully trust her. I like her, but I'll be keeping my eye on her. The part in the chapel was alarming when she told Veronica she should slap her, but she won't because she wasn't a violent person. She's a different person when it comes to Hiram. That last scene between the two is going to cause some problems for Riverdale. I just know it.

Nice discussions with Betty and Jug.

Miss Grundy is no more. I never cared for the character, but her death was brutal. I actually jumped for the first time on this show. I was shocked. I knew this season would be even darker. The same guy that shot Fred was her killer.

I can't wait for the next episode.

i dont understand why they brought grundy back only just to kill her 2 minute later. but i guess thats part of the target's storyline of who this mystery killer is.

im so glad fred is ok and is on the road to recovery. but i think archie is going down a dark path with the guilt of what happened.
