Admittedly other than darkish tone of some scenes and Cheryl's hair, what made me watch this show was seeing their kiss mentioned all over tumblr before the pilot even aired.
Fingers crossed they don’t go for teen drama’s favorite best frenemies trope with these two. I’d much prefer watching them as actual best friends or a couple. |

 eta: OMG THEIR SCENES TONIGHT. Veronica is so in love with Betty, its so obvious! All the things she said about her... “It really felt like we were meant to be best friends. Like it was our destiny.” “It was like there was this train that was heading to the rest of my life and I just missed it.” “Once again fate throws us together.” Major future titles here. I love that Veronica tried so hard to apologize. and when Betty saw her being nice to Cheryl and decided to give her a chance. The milkshakes were so cute. I LOVED Veronica talking sense into Betty over Archie too. And all the stuff Veronica said to Archie about Betty were so cute. __________________

I like whenever these two share scenes together! I want their friendship, but I don't think that vow they made is going to stick.

I really like them and I want to believe that the writers won't let Archie get in the way but meh. It's going to a constant dark cloud hanging over them. I hope I am proven wrong.
