Thanks for starting the thread. Nice OP.

Tbh I thought I was going to hate Cheryl/Archie interactions when I read about them in the plot summary. Primarily because Cheryl entertains me (as a character, I don’t necessarily like her as a person either) and Archie not so much (don’t hate him, just don’t care about him at all). Plus, I find the way Cheryl flirts a bit off-putting (imo, somewhere deep down she has low self-esteem and maybe tries to cover them up by exuding artificial, hypersexualized vibes she hopes would make men like her). But, surprisingly, I enjoyed most of their scenes. Especially loved that moment when he defended her to those people who talked trash about her and she seemed so genuinely moved.

Even if Fred lives, I think him getting shot will give them another thing in common, Cheryl is going to know what Archie is going through first hand, that should make way for a deeper friendship.
